10 Most Difficult Venues

Recommended Posts

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/39297/power-rankings-top-10-toughest-venues

1. Lambeau Field (Packers)

2. Heinz Field (Steelers)

3. Qwest Field (Seahawks)

4. Arrowhead Stadium (Chiefs)

5. Soldier Field (Bears)

6. Superdome (Saints)

7. Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

8. Metrodome (Vikings)

9. Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles)

10. Oakland Coliseum (Raiders)

What do you guys think, if we were a consistent power would we crack the list? I have been in very loud Bank of America Stadiums during playoff/night games especially and when we are good we normally fill it every game. I think we could get better than the Raiders.

for a couple years we were pretty good at home.

BoA isn't really known for having all that tough of an atmosphere to opposing teams. fans are far too nice, which is probably a good thing considering how many seats are filled by fans of other teams.

packers, steelers and bears were also on a worst surfaces list. so it isn't just about the noise when a team goes visits those stadiums.
True, true. I'm guessing noise has the biggest impact by a wide margin though. I think we're easily top 15 when we're a good team.

opposing teams literally laughed at BoA stadium last year. i think it was the vikings game where multiple players said there was more purple in the stands than anything else. carolina will never come close to cracking a top ten list of most difficult places to play in the NFL. even if we win consecutive super bowls with cam, i think we'll always have a wine and cheese reputation.

Bills should be on that list.

thats just because you don't know what country you are going to be in. drive up to the stadium and you find out that they are playing in canada that day. it can be pretty confusing.

it was the ravens and it was an extra home game for them.

really embarrassing.

of all the horrible games last year, that had to be the one that effected richardson the most and why i don't think they are going to be messing around when it comes to bringing in talent this year.

me thrice!

but hell when you get an all inclusive bus ride, hotel room downtown and a ticket all for like 200 a person can you blame them for filling our stadium? I dont think they would have had half the turn out if Charlotte wasn't licking their assholes to get them down here...

To this day, 2005 against the Patriots is one of the loudest regular season NFL games I have ever been to. I've been to like 20 games in Miami, a few in Jacksonville, and Soldier Field, so my sample size is small, but BofA was loud as sh*t that day.

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
