Suggested FA Targets - Per Gantt

Ekuban makes sense like Fonoti did last year. We bring in a bunch of DE, DT guys on cheap contracts and see who sticks. It was great with the offense and could work again with the defense. As for Bly, I doubt it. As for Kemo 2, i don't know if we will spend a ton unless we figure he is a real upgrade over Vincent. After spending a lot of money on Gross, I don't know if we see it as worth the money to upgrade at the other guard position. Might try and find someone a little cheaper.

Ebenezer Ekuban? Not interested.

As for DT, if we can't get one cheap (like it or not, we have our starters), then I say we should build through the draft.

Would love to get Chris Kemoeatu, but it would be expensive. Not sure the Panthers would spend that much. Guess I could hope to be surprised.

Dre' Bly is no young chicken any more, so I doubt he gets top dollar. Would be a good pickup.

Mark Jones is at least consistent. Don't let him go.

Agreed.

i totally agree with the bolded. i've been screaming that for a long time.

ekuban may not be the answer to replace peppers but he could do a lot of good at providing solid depth.

i do like the idea of bringing in kemo2, though. i don't think he would come at an outrageous price tag. the depth would be good to have and losing bridges and hangman may make him necessary.

Only one on that list I want is Mark Jones. Wasn't flashy, but did his job and did it well. If you remember, without him and Smitty, we lose the GB game. Jones had like four PHENOMENAL returns that game, setting up the offense at like the 50 at least twice! Don't let him go...he's the best returner we've had here in a LONGGGGGG time.
