Are you doing anything different this summer?

have fun.. sounds like an incredible time. I want to get to the Keys to do some world class fishing.

I've been bone fishing on the flats and spinner (black tip) shark fishing on the Atlantic side. Both were something I won't soon forget. I would love to live in the Keys full time. One day I will.

It's what my ex does and loves it. Livin' the life. Glad for them. While I love the beach, I love it is small doses. Much prefer the mountains. And, i don't really like being out on the ocean in a boat.

I would love to just fly to a South America somewhere with a duffle bag, backpack and a few hundred dollars to get by on, then get off the plane and just go.

:)

go to the Phillipines....might cost you a little upfront for the ticket...but once you are there, it's incredible and cheap...two of my favorite things!

I was just fishing with my old roommate who was trying to convince me to drop everything and live down there or Costa Rica..

always a thought I've entertained..

Friend of mine just asked me to do the same. Move to Mexico and live in Cabo san Lucas.

Tickets are running about $6K right now (I think that might be 1st class though)...Funny you mention it, I am trying to talk my way into a work trip there and then just taking a couple weeks off for me time.

wow...girl that worked for me went for much cheaper than that, but they wouldn't have gone first class though. El Nido I believe is the place. Away from Manila and all that stuff. She's been to a few places in her life already, and she said it was by far the most incredible place ever.

Now this is like something I want to do.....I just don't think the cost of getting there will be in my budget this summer. Sounds awesome.

what's your budget?

the laos part alone is roughly 1500 for roundtrip tickets and then the rest of the trip for, say, a week, can be done for about 500

I'm going to try and take some time off from work to road trip around California, really trying to see parts I have never seen before. I'm also getting treatment for my depression for the first time in my life, as a recent breakup sent me down a spiral. I'm picking up mountain biking, learning guitar, and attempting to start lifting regularly to give my scrawny ass some muscle. I'm also building a new PC.

Other than that, it's the same old 40+ hours a week with weekends off.
