Are you doing anything different this summer?

yup...ended up in vegas...had a great time, I think

I can see how that could happen. I don't want to wind up in a place like Vegas though.....that has financial disaster written all over it for a guy like me.

I would love to just fly to a South America somewhere with a duffle bag, backpack and a few hundred dollars to get by on, then get off the plane and just go.

I know that isn't the smartest of ideas without putting in a bunch of research though. Next thing you know I am a drug mule and I am flying back to the US against my will with 56 bags of heroine and cocaine in my stomach that I was forced to swallow wondering where it all went so wrong. :)

You want to be a drugmule?

oh wait...you probably mean the backpacking thing.

 It would start and end proly like you just described. I will keep a pen and pad handy, write and sell our story to Men's Journal or Outside magazine. Do tv tours, cable junkets and end up singing Take me out to the ballgame at Wrigley.

We bump into Vince Vaughn while there and he said he loved our story and wants to make a movie about it.

I am doing something different. 1) I've never, ever taken two weeks in a row, rarely even a full week at one time, but this year I am taking the first two weeks of July off and 2) Spending those two weeks on Islamorada in the Florida Keys at a private beach estate. It's the estate my ex-husband and his wife oversee, and we're staying in their house (for free) while they go on a Mediterranean cruise. We'll be taking care of the dog.

This means I'll be gone from work for three straight weeks, as I have a conference in DC the week before. It's going to be strange, but fun!

    • And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season.  In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.
    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
