E3

I've been looking forward to this Star Wars kinect game ever since they announced the kinect, and they're going to do an official reveal at E3 this week, but I just saw a preview for it and it looks HORRIBLE.

The only game for the Kinect I'm interested in is Forza 4....and that's only because the Xbox 360 steering wheels suck dick...

I have a Kinect and its fun for what it is right now...just a casual game system but I'm really hoping that they'll start designing more hardcore games for it.

Ditto, if I was interested in the Gears of War franchise then Exile might have me excited but for some reason the franchise never caught my attention....

Kojima isn't going to be at E3. Neither is Valve, so no HL3 I guess. :(

Leaked ESRB rating suggest a new GTA, Devil May Cry, and Resident Evil (not raccoon city) but who knows whether any of them will shown or even revealed at E3.

You know all the major publishers are holding back some surprised for the conference though.

I played the first Gears when I got first got my X-box but somehow the game saved file got erased from my Hard drive so I got frustrated and sold it and never played any of the sequels. I was in best buy and saw a bundle for the first two and some other content (not sure what it was but it wasn't the third game) and it was only like 20 bucks so I might try again.

Xbox lost me with the red ring of death. I was a long supporter of MS but not anymore!!! I don't miss anything about it!

I've had my X-box since 07. Never had a problem. I've only recently started using X-box live about a year ago because when I was in college I couldn't afford it and the dorm I lived had a horrible internet policy. I like my X-box, and the only thing I wish it had that my friends PS3 has is the ability to surf the web.

Again, David Jaffe said he wasn't going to be there last year....people say they aren't going all the time when in reality they're a big part of one of the big 3's conferences....Valve probably won't show though. They are still at heart a pc developer and e3 hasn't ever been a great medium to show off pc games.....

I definitely agree with price being the biggest obstacle with project cafe (beem' date=' wiiHD, wii2 or whatever the hell they're calling it). Nintendo has never been the company willing to take a loss on sales of their console in order to give the hardcore gamer what they want. If the rumored specs are accurate (including the touchscreen display built into the controller (essentially making the controller it's own handheld) it could easily be in the seven to eight hundred dollar range to produce. If Nintendo is stupid enough to price a console at that point then they will be killing it before it even is released. Unless the rumored specs are WAY off then Nintendo has to be willing to take a pretty significant loss on console sales for several years in order to get Cafe off to the right start. They already will catch a ton of criticism for scrapping the Wii so early so they can't make it worse on themselves by making the price point on the next gen system too high. Thankfully for Nintendo they made an insane amount of money off the "soccer mom" console that they can afford to take losses on Cafe until the hardware is less expensive to produce.....it will be an interesting reveal for sure, I almost expect them to show off the console and games, make no mention what so ever of price with a release window of Holiday '12....[/quote']

How would Nintendo get bad press for developing a new console? Hell its been out since 2006, announced 2005 it took over the Gamcube which came out here in the state in 2002, and that took over for the 64 which had been out since 1996. 6 years is a LONG time now with computer technology and power. They might get bad press from people who just NOW bought the Wii but eh. They could do so much now and make a decent/powerful console, hell sony released the playstation 3 with a price of what 599? Claiming "oh its a blu-ray player too!! thats why its so expensive and powerful!" and people still bought them up and it is still relevant today.

I don't think Nintendo can take a hit as much as you think also, they need to knock it out of the park this year. The 3DS is cool, but it hasn't sold as much as they thought it could, and its the most expensive handheld gaming device until the NGP comes out. They have lost that hardcore gamer crowd with the ps3 and the 360, whats to not make that crowd think "hell if nintendo is coming out with something that means sony or microsoft is coming out with something new soon too"

Nintendo has already gotten bad press because they are giving up on this generations most popular console. It's not the same as the cube, the gamecube struggled with sales for three years...wii's have sold like prostitution in the red light district since it's release......BIG DIFFERENCE...I'm excited for cafe but I can definitely see where wii customers would be upset....

I agree that it is really popular, but thats like people getting mad at apple because they made a new ipad. The first one sold really well, "changed the world" or in nintendo's case "changed gaming consoles" but they shouldn't make a new one because its so popular? Thats where the logic doesn't get me with those people.

I just hope to go back to the days where I could play other games on Nintendo's system out side of smash bros. zelda and mario franchise.
