DVD Burning Software

I need a good FREE DVD burning software. I got a few movies I have downloaded, I usually stream them to the Xbox, but now I am wanting to watch them in the other room. I downloaded Cheeta DVD burner, but it is not converting the files to DVD format. So the player is unable to read it. Any one know what program I need or where to get it? I do want to keep it simple, I dont need menus, chapters, or anything like that.

only thing I know about xbox playing dvds is the process of burning games... simple, but quite a few steps.

found this on google.. just follow the steps.

this use to be the program I used for burning games..

just get on google and find a link that makes sense to you if no one else has any ideas. wouldn't hurt to find a forum online where people talk about this stuff. maybe even post it in nerdvana on the huddle.

but my go to strategy is to find forums where they focus on this stuff..

AVI? Not sure there is a free one, but you could get a "free" version of it, if you know what I mean.

I have actually used a program called "Convert XtoDVD" made by VSO I think.... before to do what you want, you can create menus with it, etc, and it worked pretty well.

I tried (unsuccessfully) to burn the first couple Game of Thrones .avi files to DVD using Windows Movie Maker and Sothink Movie DVD Maker... Both burned without error, and actually started playing perfectly, but then start freezing at random points, both in my DVD player and my laptop, during playback...

Haven't tried anything else yet, and it may well be the media itself that I am using to burn it to...
