thousands of Americans have swallowed this and more in the recent years and were happy to keep their jobs.

.....as wealth disparity grew and the middle class disappeared.

Thousands of Mexicans immigrants are happy to keep jobs being paid little to nothing. What's your point?

We should settle for less, because we didn't take 'the risk.'

The amount I was being paid initially would make a huge difference...

also, which players exactly will be taking a 20% pay cut? didn't the most recent plan put the majority of that on incoming rookies?

The union is negotiating as one entity for the revenue as a whole, so it's the same concept. Would you take a substantial pay cut despite your company having unprecedented success?

I hate to state the obvious once again, but you have to find it quite ironic that people with thousands of posts on a football forum can claim to be experts on anything business related. I don't know Bill Gates but I think it is a safe assumption to think that he isn't a "senior member" on any online sites with thousands of posts. Just sayin'.....

The wealthiest man in the US is your example. The only man in the country with a special tax return form because the standard forms won't accommodate his income is who you are comparing the average business owner to.

Says a lot.

If you are not happy with your income you should do something about it. Something other than suing your employers.

I think his point is that a person that actually has attained a level of knowledge to understand and excel at such things, probably doesn't spend hundreds of hours on a football message board.

Says even more the fact that you didn't or couldn't get my point.

So Mad Hatter if your boss came in and told you to take a 20% pay cut and that you had to work on Sundays...you would?

It would depend on what I got payed TBH. If im making 100K a year thats only 20K. I would still get payed 80K a year so I would be still happy making that.

So you exercised one of your options to retain a certain level of compensation just as the players are doing.

Not the obvious choice like you make it sound. Lots of things to consider. Markets change and employers have to make hard decisions. Its a fact of life. Deal with it or sue? What kind of person are you?

I call BS. If you make 30k right now that's easy to say. If you made a 100k you wouldn't be living in a $500/month apartment. Your cost of living increases with your earnings.
