That is exactly what the players were banking on.

And yet the owners have met every legal action swiftly to keep the players they NEED so much out of the damn building.. across the board.

Alright, call me when they play a season with replacement players, and it goes off without a hitch.

Oh there will be issues, never said that scabs would fill the gap the first year and nobody would see the dropoff.

Just saying that if the players force a hard decision and draw a line in the sand as they have, they better be prepared for the worst, which so far is exactly what they have gotten.

Does this question change when your salary has effectively increased by 300% over the past 15 years and there is no other comparable industry coming close to offering that kind of compensation?

that increase was because the league was bringing in huge numbers and gaining more fans daily. and those players were the reason why, nobody goes to BofA stadium to see Jerry sit under a blanket in 80 degree weather.

Nfl makes its money off of the best players in north america. I guarantee if another league branches off from the nfl with its current players and is willing to pay them and the rest of the best college kids once they go to that league the nfl would be nothing. The players, present and future who are the best in the biz are what makes the money pour in. Not the stadiums, idiotic mascots, and practice squad players.

"The Worst" so far has been mandatory vacation.

And the NFL revenue has increased from 1.62 billion in 1995 to 9.3 billion in 2010. That's almost 600%.

So.....
