Moderator-can we sticky this thread. This is must read for all of the NFL owners about how to run a business.

I will never pay a stock broker, real estate agent, attorney, or doctor. Instead, I will come to the Huddle and ask for advice and with all the savings I can start my empire! LOL

Every player is replaceable.

Then why even allow them to have a union? They should just seize the opportunity to employ scabs and remove these blights from the game permanently?

The truth is the need these players. There have been countless other football leagues that have folded. The game does not sell itself.

Why on earth would anyone not try to make more money? You are faulting the players for the very thing the owners are doing.

Not faulting them for trying to make more money. No. I commend that. Try to make it by excelling and hitting your incentives, re-negotiating your contract by showing you deserve it. Or maybe get your agent to call yoiu back and get you a gig in a car ad.

If it's all about money there are ways to get it if, IF you have earned it by being a stand up citizen and a hard-working employee.

But suing your boss and not even countering the compromises they have offered in good faith is a punk ass move that is just not going to hold up.

It's like waiting around to get a raise because minimum wage went up.

That is exactly what the players were banking on.

And yet the owners have met every legal action swiftly to keep the players they NEED so much out of the damn building.. across the board.

So Mad Hatter if your boss came in and told you to take a 20% pay cut and that you had to work on Sundays...you would?

Does this question change when your salary has effectively increased by 300% over the past 15 years and there is no other comparable industry coming close to offering that kind of compensation?
