nah dude, it's cool.

the business i work for is insanely profitable and prints money. sure, take 20%. Here is a bag filled with 20 thousand dollars. It's cool, I got 80 thousand.

now if you'll excuse me, i have to go dress up as a founding father and parade around with a sign in a wal-mart parking lot because somewhere there's a social program designed to help minorities.

Not the obvious choice like you make it sound. Lots of things to consider. Markets change and employers have to make hard decisions. Its a fact of life. Deal with it or sue? What kind of person are you?

I'm sure there were lots of things to consider, and I'm sure you made a completely fair and rational choice when you found other employment. Just as I am sure the players are acting in a completely rational sense here. The two of you were in completely different scenarios, but the overall goal was the same.

Oh, we are dealing with immature, uneducated, and vanity-driven children. I forgot.

Every player is replaceable. They have been being replaced for years and will always continued to be. This all WAS just an effort to make their big paydays bigger. An effort to reach deeper into the cookie jar despite the possibility that they might not actually be good enough to reach twice.

The agents and the union is behind it and quite simply it just has not worked and some of you player apologists who worship your jersey and bobble-head collections just cannot accept it.

Guess what. You don't have to. Just take this as a lesson in case it ever happens to you. If you want to control your future, work for yourself and vote for politicians who give breaks to the risk takers and the brick layers not the whiny "what's not right in the world" blame-game tweeners out there.

Fiz as someone who sleepwalked to a business degree and subsequent middle management position I think I have a lot to share about hard work with professional athletes and frankly your tone offends me

Why on earth would anyone not try to make more money? You are faulting the players for the very thing the owners are doing.
