it's for 2011 so the superbowl winner is first and the worst team in 2011 is in the cellar. It's just for 2011 and he's right. JR made decisions that didn't have to do with putting a winning team on the field.

what did his he say? If that practice was open there is no way he planned to come to Charlotte. I would suspect he just commented on it being lame or dumb....not that he wanted to be there.

i think the only person who did that was peter king or pat kirwan and we were his surpise team at that.

Alright so I don't exactly like Richardson or some of the things he does but second worst is just a cheap shot. We are at least in top half best run.

IMO, JR knew there was probably going to be a lockout, so he decided he was going to wait and see how it played out before spending any extra money. If the CBA comes out in the owners favor, JR can save a boatload of money. If the CBA comes out in the players favor, then JR did not waste any extra money on players who were going to be more expensive to sign.

Sounds like pretty sound business thinking to me. If the CBA is reworked and players salaries and years accrued are adjusted, then JR can sign his players for money that is more in tuned with their value. As opposed to players salaries which were getting out of hand. Top teir players deserve top teir money. After that a player should be paid per that players value to the team, not what the players agents precieved his value to be.

Overall I agree. In all reality some of these schmucks know that "Jerry the cheapskate" could come out smelling like "Jerry the Brilliant" when this restructure settles.

But if you choose, and I mean CHOOSE, to look at the surface there is plenty to back up an abysmally poor assessment of the way the team has operated in the recent past.

As fans we must realize the role of the press and understand that the only priority they have, like politicians, is to first get a job and then secondly, keep it. No matter what pathetic drivel they publish.
