Gamecocks to Omaha took first game 5-1 , second 8-2

Virginia was down to its last strike and bases empty to winning on a walkoff single over Irvine 3-2.

In the last game Texas A&M is putting a can of whoopass on FSU, up 8-0 after 2 innings.

the top half is Virginia/Cal and South Carolina/FSU-A&M winner

the bottom half is Florida/Texas and UNC/Vandy (all national seeds)

Yea saw that Irvine/UVA game. Heartbreaking for Irvine, was rooting for them. What did UVA have like 3 straight base hits up the middle, great hitting.

Not a fan of the Gamecocks at all but it's nice to see USC representing the state in a positive manner...no DUI's, no fighting in five points, no stealing computers from the stadium....nice to see a thug-free team for a change....but September is coming :co:

UF really should have won, USC got a bit lucky. But they are scrappy. And Price is a warrior being able to pitch on short notice. Florida just left too many runners on base.

USC got lucky against UVA and got lucky against UF in game 1. There is little denying that.

That being said, they won. That's all that matters.

luck isn't capitalizing on what you are given in baseball. but, i would much rather be lucky than good anyday of the week.
