Bismack Biyombo and MarShon Brooks

Kemba or Bismack??

I have seen Kemba mostly between picks 4-7 and Bismack between 6-10 on mocks that I frequent.

I deeply apologize. I meant to say Kemba.

But what's your stance on Bismack, do you believe he's a legitimate offensive option, or another Ben Wallace?

I have never seen the guy play in a live game and have only seen youtube videos and read scouting reports.

But in those videos and scouting reports, he shows good footwork which is very important for a big on the offensive side of the ball.

I doubt he will be a Hakeen or Ewing force on offense but I think he could perhaps develop a nice offensive game. He is already a legitmate defensive presence which we need imo. Having Bismack and Tyrus inside to help defend the rim would be sweet.

Read today on twitter that the Knicks are very interested in Brooks at 17

Word beginning to trickle in from Knicks workout. Klay Thompson & Jimmer played 2-on-2 against Marshon Brooks and Darius Morris.

Knicks very positive on all 4 players. Sounds like it was a very good workout. Brooks very aggressive getting to the rim.

Some very good decisions in 2-on-2 by both Jimmer and Morris. They think Jimmer has bball IQ to be a PG in the NBA.

Sounds like Knicks would consider all 4 at 17. Doubt Thompson or Jimmer will be there. Workout may have been most important for Brooks.

Brooks has most to prove. Knicks sound like they really liked him

after reading and watching vids- i doubted that Brooks would be there at 19..

that looks about right

maybe package 19 and our 2nd rder to move up to 14 or 15

I tend to agree, he could even slide into the late lottery if he keeps rising the next few weeks.

Its possible Bismack could be gone too, who knows.

We need help at center though, so I'd be all for Bismack. I know we need offense, but who is going to back up Kwame, IF Kwame is even here next year? Diop? No way. I wish we could have gotten Gortat last year some how.

I think they have every intention of Kwame being here next year. I recently read an article...I believe on Rotoworld or the Observer website that they want to work with him on his inadequacies in the offseason and how people will be "impressed". Also I am all for Biyombo. Dwight Howard had no offensive game when he got into the league so it doesn't worry me that Biyombo is lacking in that area. If we can get some good passes to him all the man needs to do is dunk it as far as I'm concerned.

Biyombo is too small to play Center. There are really only 2 true centers who project to be lottery picks and thats Kanter and Valanciunas. I'd be all for getting one of those guys but there's no way Kanter falls.

I'm not too sure Biyombo is too small to play center. He has a ridiculous wing span that makes up for his "lack" of height. And plus his game is more tailored for a center.

I wouldn't mind Jeremy Tyler as a center. I like his build and he is very athletic (He's the kid that went overseas after his junior year in HS). But he's projected to fall between our 19th pick and our second round pick. I guess it just depends on whose there when we are picking. It might be in our best interest to trade back from that 19.
