You're watching the wrong movies. Watch Japanese, Chinese and South Korean movies, they're much better than the movies made in the US. They don't design their movies for the lowest common denominator in society like Hollywood does.

As for music, unlike film, music remains relevant for much longer. I don't listen to many current artists but I listen plenty of music from the past decades.

And soccer is actually a really great sport. It's played by a more diverse group of people than the American sports are and they're amazing athletes. Also there are no commercials in soccer, they don't hire mentally retarded people as commentators and the fans are passionate (unlike the robots at bank of america stadium).
