When you cut vets and don't sign any FA's worth a poo 2 years in a row, it is hard not to have young draft picks as starters. It also leads to 2-14

but again, Carolina was only comparable to the other teams in regards to draft picks starting in the division when they cut vets and didn't bring in new vets.......the other teams had comparable starters drafted and were winning.

Fox most definately...and Richardson for creating the 2010 situation. Players are always part of it.

Still, Hurney in rounds 2-7 has been pretty weak imo. End of the day, Fox might get an assist for the failures of the past but Hurney is the one bringing the talent into the franchise. Hurney is the one drafting QBs in a lameduck season....Hurney is the one who is too smart for his own good with his "draft day trades".... etc.

Hurney has a very consistent draft strategy. The only major blunder was the AE trade and that's assuming he never develops into anything, which is hardly fair. The coaching staff intentionally sabotaged his development.

Hurney is in the top 3 when only evaluating what teams do in round 1. Other teams hit on better players in round 2-3....and 2-7 as a whole.
