Scottie Pippen says Lebron may be better than MJ on Mike and Mike

High praise from Pip. Never heard him say this about Durant or Kobe. LeBron will end his career as arguably the GOAT if he piles up rings which he will. All that hate from last offseason has made LeBron take his game to an even higher level.

You're putting the cart before the horse their my friend.

I have no problem with Jordan being the greatest ever.

And Kobe has been in the last 3 NBA Finals, taking 2.

Between Kobe and Jordan they own 11 NBA Titles.

Give them the respect they've earned.

After Lebron puts his 3rd, maybe 4th NBA Championship trophy on his mantle then you can speak his name with the Greatest Players Ever.

I'm biased because my vote for GOAT goes to Dr J. He changed the game more than Jordan did imo. And of course you have to mention Jerry West in that discussion.

Does Bron deserve to be in the company of those three?

Hell no.

Bron is 2nd tier greats along with Patrick Ewing, Kobe, Shaq, Robinson, Olajuwan, Kemp, Barkley, etc.

Nobody in the modern era deserves to be classified with those three.

pfff, scottie pippen overrated?? please... He almost won the championship twice WITHOUT Jordan. Hes one of the most UNDER rated player of all time. Also, Rodman is one of the greatest defenders and rebounders of all time despite his antics. To think MJ had no help is asinine.

I didn't say he had no help, just not the kind of help most other champions have received. Allen Iverson had Dikembe Mutumbo who was a great defender and rebounder and had a hall of fame coach and couldn't win a championship.

I don't see how people can compare Pippen or Rodman to the complete balance of players teams like the Lakers and Celtics have had in their championship years.

oh, and here are some fun facts comparing Jordan to LeFlop

in the regular season, MJ has:

-better field goal percentage

-better free throw percentage

-less turnovers per game

-more points per game

-more steals per game

then in the playoffs, MJ has:

-better field goal percentage

-better free throw percentage

-better 3pt percentage

-more steals per game

-less turnovers per game

-more points per game

Jordan has more championships, more regular season MVP awards, more scoring titles, more NBA finals MVP awards, list goes on.......

I don't care if you're a LeBron fan, if you legitimately think LeBron can ever touch Jordan as the greatest of all time, your opinion regarding NBA(and probably all sports) is irrelevant and laughable.

It's obvious by your comment that you HATE Lebron. Let me guess... A Cleveland fan? You must be, to have such a strong hatred for him.

Let me clarify this from the jump... Michael is and always will be #1 of all time.

With that said you cant really believe that Lebron wont challenge to be the best ever. He's still very young, and is on the verge of ring #1. The Heat will be the deepest team for years to come. The fact that they are gonna win it in their first year together with limited help off the bench is remarkable. They will only get better from here. We will go out and get better bench personnel, and they'll come and play for peanuts just to win championships. He has a legitimate shot at surpassing 6 rings.

I grew up on Jordan, and I'm glad to see that we have a player almost as exciting as he was to watch now. I think it will always be very unfair to compare anyone to Michael Jordan. he just wasn't human imo.

No need to hate on LeBron though, unless you were a Cleveland fan... and even then, move on already!

Edit: The stats will work themselves out. It's still very early. LeBron will have his first ring quicker than Jordan got his first ring.

Again i'm not saying that leBron will ever be better than MJ... even if he wins 8 titles... To me there will never be anyone close to MJ. Thats just me. But to sit there and not recognize that LBJ has a chance to superceed him in a lot of things is just being ignorant.

I agree and give Jerry and Dr. J their due respect.

I completely DISAGREE that Kobe and Shaq are in the same company as the others you listed. Have you lost your whole damn mind!?

Shaq- 4 Titles

Kobe-5 Titles

I HATE Kobe, but you have to respect his gangster on the court.

Don't confuse and seperate the top tier players of this game by time periods, thats assinine!

Derek Fisher has 5 rings too. Do we put him up there?

Derek Fisher's five rings makes him 5 times the player Chris Paul is according to "Kobe fan" logic. Scottie Pippen's 6 rings make him greater than Bird who only has 3 according to "Kobe fan" logic. Because their boy failed to deviate himself from his contemporaries, his fans have had to play up his team accomplishments to make him "stand out", but it doesnt hold up. I vividly remember in 1992 Michael Jordan was on his quest for his 2nd NBA title, and I dont recall people arguing at that point that Magic or Bird were still better due to them having more rings at that point. In fact, Jordan was the best player in the league BEFORE he even won titles, it was just questioned whether he could transfer that to "team success". "Kobe fan" logic has taken a "rings are everything" approach because Kobe's individual accomplishments dont jump out at you.

For you folks in here talking that "rings are everything" noise, if thats the case MJ isnt even top 5 then. Kareem has just as many as him, and has more points and more MVP trophies. If he werent a muslim, perhaps people would be calling him the GOAT more. Russell has 11 rings and there are several others with 9 and 8 to their name. If its just about "rings", MJ isnt even in the convo as the best.

Most rings ONLY as a NBA PLAYER:

1) Bill Russell 11 NBA rings in 12 NBA Finals

2) Sam Jones 10 NBA rings in 11 NBA Finals

3) K. C. Jones 8 NBA rings in 9 NBA Finals

3) Tom Heinsohn 8 NBA rings in 9 NBA Finals

3) Satch Sanders 8 NBA rings in 8 NBA Finals

3) John Havlicek 8 NBA rings in 8 NBA Finals (including rings in 1974 and 1976)

I'm NOT a fan of "Kobe Logic" whatsoever. Are you guys really trying to argue that Kobe and Shaq are not in the top tier in the History of basketball??

"Derek Fisher has 5 rings , does he belong there?" <------ HELL NO he doesnt

Dont try and twist my words and make them mean what you want them to mean. Just read the text. You're acting like my wife!
