Scottie Pippen says Lebron may be better than MJ on Mike and Mike

Pippen's mad because everyone knows he was overrated. He's a great player but his place is much lower in NBA history than guys like MJ. Also when MJ was playing baseball, Phil Jackson wanted the ball in Toni Kukoc's hands at the end of the game. When Pippen moved on to the Rockets and Trailblazers, his stats progressively got worse and even with the Bulls he wasn't a regular 20ppg scorer. Managed 20ppg or better only 3 seasons (Compare that to Chris Bosh who's already averaged over 20ppg in 6 seasons).

An 18,000 point career scorer in 17 seasons... (compare that to Ray Allen who is already at 22,000+). Pippen was one of the first strong wing players that could play the 2 and the 3. He was always in great shape, played solid defense and also was a force on the fast break. but the guy is not as great as he's made out to be. That's why MJ is the best player ever. He won 6 championships without another top player.

People will always argue this and bring up Pippen, Rodman and Horace Grant. Sorry but none of those guys are Dwyane Wade and none of them are Shaq. MJ did it with less and he was able to because he shot the ball at such a high percentage and was a team player.

pfff, scottie pippen overrated?? please... He almost won the championship twice WITHOUT Jordan. Hes one of the most UNDER rated player of all time. Also, Rodman is one of the greatest defenders and rebounders of all time despite his antics. To think MJ had no help is asinine.

Look, Michael Jordan IS the greatest of all time! I grew up watching Jordan. Pippin said that overall and all around Lebron is better. He clearly stated Michael is the greatest scorer of all time. If LBJ gets 7 rings, then you could say that, but it will still be up for debate.

I personally won't question Pippen because he played along side MJ and is now watching James... I believe him. In the end James will pass Jordan... Wow, it's crazy to read, crazy to even think. But it's true. Time will tell!

Kobe vs Jordan is ABSURD!!! Phil already cleared that up

Pippen was like MJ's Dwayne Wade, I thought (even though I'm a Lebron fan) was completely disrespectful for him to say that. Jordan is the reason Pippen has as many rings as he does.

I agree... Whether or not he believes in it or not, he should have NEVER said it

LeBron is a slightly better passer and rebounder than MJ. Then again, he is a 6'8" point-forward. So he should post better assist and rebounding numbers.

What Pippen said in my opinion was a slap the face to Mike. How do you mention LeBron's defense without mentioning MJ's? Who's one of, if not the best perimeter defender of all-time. What a joke...

I'll question Pippen. Hell, Horace Grant already questioned Pippen after what he said this morning.

I see your point and agree. Michael Jordan will always be the best of all time as far as I'm concerned! Hell, I'm a Heat fan but grew up a Bulls fan (who didn't) and just seeing the Heat in Chicago confused me. The bull at centercourt was so intimidating! Because of Michael! The intro music sent me back to the 90's... As a Heat fan though I hope that LeBron comes out and says that Mike is and will always be the Greatest if all time! I hope he asks the media to stop comparing them, because Lebron wouldn't be who he is today without Michael! He would instantly win back the world!

After all, that's why pretty much anyone who is Not a Green Bay fan hates Aaron Rodgers! He should just admit that he'll never be Brett Favre!

Lebron should put an end to this immediately... It will put him way ahead of Kobe in the fans' eyes! Kobe is a FUGGIN joke! If Phil wasn't his coach he'd have a grand total of ZERO championships. But it is what it is. That's all I got for now!

No one will ever be MJ. It's as simple as that. No player will ever impact the sport like MJ did and that alone makes him the GOAT.

This hits the nail on the head. Michael made the game what it is. Nobody will ever have the impact on the game that Michael did and to compare ANYONE to him is ludicrous. Especially someone who hasn't even won a championship title yet.

lol, Pippen must be slobbing to get some studio job in MIA to say something as incoherent as that.

Lebron will most definitely be a top 10 player when it's all said and done (hell maybe top 3) But like it's already been said. There will never be another Mike.

For Pippen to boldly say that is quite saddening.

There are only 3 players that have physically altered the way Basketball has been played. Those three are Shaq, Jordan, and Iverson (bless that poor creature) . Lebron is a dynamic player, no doubt.

But he hasn't even nearly impacted the way basketball has been played. Nor will he probably ever.

He'll fall into the 'Poor Man's Jordan' shadow just like Kobe.

Bron has the potential to be better than MJ, but I don't think he has the drive that Jordan had, and that's why he'll never be GOAT.

Jordan got cut from his high school team and had to work his ass off for everything after that. Bron was riding around in limos in high school getting backdoor payments.
