Time for new phone: IP4 or Android 4g?

Wait like a month or two and get the Galaxy S II

my eyes were opened.. never even heard of it.

based on what I've read, it has all the best attributes.. dual core processor, 4g (IIRC), smooth screen, latest software upgrade (gingerbread), etc..

I wanted the X2, but when I read about the issues with camera and a few issues with the touch screen..

this is now what I'm waiting for.. especially if it comes with 4g.

IDk about the Galaxy S II that smoots is pimping, but I played with the Thunderbolt and Charge at the Verizon store the other day, with 4G on and they are impressive. I don't care for the Charge's overall shape, but it really doesn't matter that much.

it's pretty much a Thunderbolt, but much more fine tuned.. Thunderbolt's only benefit is 4g.

excellent...will it be 4G?

With everything else that it has (that I just read) I can't imagine that it won't be 4g. Looks really nice.

Also, the original Galaxy S was 4G in Europe, but was software-locked to 3G in the US. Could be the same deal with the Galaxy S II, but again, Samsung isn't saying poo.

The good news is that Samsung probably won't change the modem hardware on the US versions (They didn't with the first one) so HSPA will be unlockable. Not sure about LTE. Verizon users might be SOL if Verizon decides to make the Galaxy S a 3G phone.

ATT literally has no reason not to do it (HSPA is backwards compatible with GSM), but that doesn't mean they will.

Verizon, on the other hand, is in a predicament. LTE isn't backwards compatible with CDMA (their 4G phones have sim cards in them now, if you look), which is why you see phones like the Droid X 2 coming out with only 3G support. Verizon simply doesn't have as much 4G coverage as they do 3G.

Maybe with the Droid X 2 being 3G, it opens the way for the Galaxy S II to be 4G. But it's completely possible that it won't. The Galaxy S was a huge seller on every carrier, and the Galaxy S II looks to be even better. There's no reason to limit your sales when a certain % of your subscribers can't get a 4G signal.

    • Kraven has awful shitty comic book movie vibes all over it. It's just more of whatever studio owns the rights to the Spiderman set, but no longer actually has Spiderman anymore. Wicked is probably no more enjoyable. 3 hour long musicals are tough to endure.

    • The Giants games are an interesting comparison for sure. We could compare the Chiefs vs the Bucs as well, since at least both teams are largely the same as they are now, rather than the Giants whose coach lost his mind after losing to us. 30-24 KC in overtime. Hunt had 106 yards and Mahomes had 291. Baker threw for 200 yards, but 2 TDs. Their leading rusher had 25 yards or something. Our offense outperformed what the Bucs did vs KC, but being a division game we won't have the benefit of being overlooked. If our D plays how it did in the 4th quarter I think we can get some stops.  Can Bryce carry a second game? I'd rather not find out and have Chuba carry the load, but we'll see.
