NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks

A bit pathetic on their part. Dirk downplayed his illness and it's not like he was going on and on about it. Someone other than Dirk decided to tell the media he had a fever.

Funny coming from Wade as he ended up trying to imitate Pierce in the following game.

Funny how I recall Wade putting the media in their place following the game. He has A LOT of heart... True champions never complain.I have the utmost respect for the gladiators of the NBA. The Nash's, Kobe's, Dirk's, Wade's... I know I'm leaving people out. I actually think that even if the Mavs lose... Dirk should still get MVP... It's really sad that it doesn't work that way. He's been specstacular in crunch time with the fever and finger...

TRD... Where do you put the percentage that Miami does what Kobe and the Lakers did last year? Being down 3-2 and still winning it.

It's not funny when you re-use the same pic over and over...

EPIC FAIL!

the last one was based on one game and said "3/11 8 points"

this one is an all around pic showing how useless he's been the entire series late in the game :D

with that said I fully expect him to go off game 6 and score 30+ pts. if Mavs bench can play like they did last night, they'll still lose though(the Heat).

Man he's gotta do something... you're right about Dallas' bench. This will probably go down as one of if not the best Finals' EVER! I will not be able to comprehend Miami losing this series!

Heat in 7

Anybody else notice how many more votes has now in the poll in this thread? Bandwagon people are the WORST in sports!

I haven't even voted lol.

Anyone catch Skip Bayless today on first take? Dude hit the nail on the head regarding LeBrick's ineffectiveness.

He really had no choice but to say that after mocking Nowitzki's ailments multiple times.

Wade has played great and I don't know why he's making these immature comments. I don't recall him being this way in his younger years. Playing with career losers in Bosh (he threw in the towel last season) and James (who threw in the towel during the playoffs last year) seems to be affecting his personality.

Sure hasn't affected his game though. He's excellent.

Any team with 1 player better than Pau.

Bynum and Artest aren't anything to write home about at this moment.

Bynum in the future possibly and Artest in the past, but not now.

You don't think Bosh and James are better than Pau and Bynum?

Orlando, Memphis, OKC, Dallas, Boston, Miami, San Antonio

We're apparently talking about two different things. When I think of frontcourt, I think of guys who play the 4 and the 5. I don't think any of those teams above can match Gasol, Bynum, and Odom and the different things they bring to the table.

Its funny you slam Bosh & James as quitters and chokers when Dirk Nowitzki has been the poster child for that his whole career. No team LeBron has ever led has lost to an 8th seed. Dirk at 33 years old, coming off a Finals he choked away 5 years ago and 1st round exits the past few years has more to prove this series than any of these dudes. I know that doesnt go with the "storyline narrative" the media and such are pushing.

The fact he listed James & Bosh a SF and semi-PF as a better frontcourt than Bynum, Odom, & Gasol (2 centers and a PF) is laughable. TRD doesnt understand basketball. Lakers have the highest payroll in the league yet Kobe has "no help". Someone please pull up Bynum, Gasol, and Odoms salaries. Lakers have arguably the biggest and one of the more versatile frontcourts int he league, yet Kobe has "no help". When they win, Lakers have the best team, when they lose, Kobe's teammates let him down.

Now they have to get Chris Paul and Dwight Howard apparently to bring up the talent level to compete with the rest of the league, if you listen to Kobe fans. But that would still make it Kobe's team somehow?

25%

Well that's where you are wrong. The Frontcourt is the 3,4,5. The Backcourt is the 1,2. I'm sorry you enjoy talking about basketball but don't know the positions. You can't take away a whole position from your original argument just because it doesn't favor your argument, that means you were wrong.

You're overvaluing Bynum at this moment. He's got a lot of potential and has shown some flashes but he's not that good right now, plain and simple.

Are they not in the frontcourt? Where do they play? Both of those guys are considered "Superstars" and neither Bynum or Gasol are.

No one said Kobe didn't have help, he just didn't have the best frontcourt in the NBA. No one said we needed CP3, just any point guard that can contribute offensively and make plays, Fisher can't do that.

I understand you have reading comprehension issues but you don't need to make things up because your sugar daddy has gone limp in the finals.

In "clutch time" as recognized by many statisticians, the last 5 minutes of a game or overtime in which it's a 5 point lead either way, LeBron is 0-7, 0 free throws, and 0 points.

Let's forget about clutch time and focus on the 4th quarter. James has 11 points while Haslem has 17 and Dirk has 52. He's a joke. A fraud. Cleveland should be thankful they aren't held hostage under the hype of LeBron anymore and can finally grow as a team.

Playing in the Leastern Conference, I don't imagine he would have lost to an 8th seed seeing as those are usually teams with losing records.

The Golden State warriors had an impressive squad and they also had Dallas's old coach.

As for losing other rounds, Nowitzki always has solid numbers. He's had some weaker teams in the past. He's still been to two NBA finals (as much as LeBron without having to join an all star team) while playing in a much tougher conference.

We can talk about the past all day but another poster said it best; 4th quarter this series Dirk has 52 points and LeBron has 11.
