He's not fighting the guy in the gif. The guy in the gif thought he was joking and wasn't serious at all. Tony brought up some poo about Charlie not being able to see his kid for a year and a half and basically the whole house wanted to kill Tony.

Charlie's friend is fighting Tony so he's going to beat him for him I guess.
