Modern Warfare is back (trailer)

You won't catch me paying a dime for that crap.

It looks cool, sure, but not cool enough to pay money for. Not on top of everything else we already pay.

But I'm sure that tool running Activision by the name of Bobby Kotick will find a way to charge for multiplayer some day, by which point I'll never purchase another Activision product until he's gone.

Greedy bum.

I guess the 60$ a year for a game and 30$ a year for map updates wasn't enough of a profit. They release the same game every year. In fact you can argue the game's have gradually gotten worse since the original Modern Warfare.

I don't like Battlefield but at least EA isn't raping consumers and repackaging the same crap every year. I've grown tired of shooting games in general. I have fallen out of the target audience. I prefer a strong single player campaign with large detailed maps (unlike the linear ones in today's shooters) and an online mode with very basic features. Base it on skill more than gimmicks.

Exactly. That doesn't include the other expenses the consumer has to play their game. They don't pay for the internet required for their service, they don't pay for the XBOX LIVE service REQUIRED for their game as well. So if you pay internet yourself, around what? $60-70? For OK internet. Then Yearly for Xbox Live..another $60+ for that. Not even mentioning that these come up with a new game EACH freaking year. Now on top of that they want to charge to play for extra stuff, but yet are reluctant to fix things in the game they know are wrong. I'm not paying a dime for a game that will instead of having fun, will frustrate me because people exploit it. Screw that.

ok I'm done ranting. :D

The Elite service is a fuging joke....fix your game then worry about charging people to play it Activision....this was the final reason I needed to forget CoD and go with Battlefield....maybe if the online game play was better and the storyline was a little more unique game to game I would think about it but they can't even deliver on those fronts and want to tack on extra charges to the game....no thanks, enjoy it CoD fanboys I'll be getting everything Elite does in Battlefield III for free....

I don't even play videogames and I can tell you that every Call of Duty looks exactly the same with just different maps

I played the campaign with my friend before that was fun, but I honestly thought the multiplayer was boring

What do you call EA doing with Madden each year? Accelerator points for my players to get healthy faster if I spend $5 bucks? Same game almost the past 5 years, and the crap with the online key cards where if I buy the game used I have to buy a new key from them so I can play online? lol

Every company does this, the only one I have yet to see something like that is really Nintendo.

But back to this Elite Service....so basically its what we in the PC Community did years ago with FPS's with Clans and Tournaments and sites/forums. Hell we do it here on Carolina Huddle hah

I liked Call of duty 2 the best and thought game play kinda went down hill from there. CoD4 was cool because they added the modern warfare element but kill streaks are what really killed the game for me.

Call of Duty is now the Madden of FPS games. It is the same game year after year and it still sells like crazy. If you market right and turn something into a popular item or a "fad" / make it seem cool, you could literally sell dog poop to people.

I play on the PC so my viewpoint is a little different. When I think of a great game it is one that has been around for a while, has a huge player base, and does not need to produce a sequel every year. Counter strike, Half life, day of defeat, BF2, you can also name other games from different genres.

I guess the moral is if something is not broken why fix it?
