It seems that Bart Scott in a interview has admitted that all of this court stuff between Owners and Players is starting to make fans mad. He also says that this needs to be taken out of court and back to the table where it belongs. Between Owners and Players and not the Court system.

agreed.
I pretty much agreed from the momet I read the interview. I mean both sides are fighting over money and a few extra games each year. Why fans have been waiting for months for them to get a deal done. But yet both sides have to much pride and neither side want to give in. But aleast some players have a head on the shoulder to think for themselves. How much longer does D smith have before players start saying FU Smith and throw him out and take this back to the table. But be sure I'm one of those already pissed off fans. Here it is near summer time and mini camp should be about ready to be held. But yet no deal no mini camps, no training camp and possible no season. I hope a group of players form a group and take over and throw smith out on his ass and get back to the table and get a new CBA deal done.:mad2::cryin::ack2::puke:

He gets the "Captain Obvious" award for the day, but kudos to him for saying it and, to my knowledge, for being the only player (or player/owner for that matter) who has thus far.
Bottomline the closer the preseason come and no end insight. The more these players who don't get paid as much as these star players do will start speaking out and will get tired Dsmith, Drew Brees, and Vrabel BS in court. They will take it over and so no more. These mid to low grade players who don't get paid millions are most likly getting sick of this already. If a high price player like Bart Scott speaks out. Just think what other players are wanting to say right now. I'm sure players will get sick of it soon enough. But overall I'm sick of bothsides BS. I wish someone would stop all this and get it out of the courts and get it back to the table and finish it up like real men should.:sifone:

Now that they know the courts are not going to side with them there will be a change of heart. It looks like Bart is leading the way. Look for many others to publicly echo his sentiment in the near future.

Did anyone actually think that this wasn't coming?

The next logical thing to do in the situation is try to win public sentiment and you do that by admitting a mistake. DeSmiff is gonna be the scape goat. I am fine with that. The only hope they have now in accomplishing what they set out on is to win back the public with a bunch of stories about being misled and then act totally blindsided at the table and hope the public thinks the owners actually are driving too hard a bargain and possibly even harder than in the initial offers.

They are eff'd.

It's funny.

i have not seen anything the owners are asking for that seems unreasonable. The players were foolish enough to either be led astray by a crazy person or actually believe they did not have to comply or at least compromise quite a bit.

Now they are seeing just how silly they were to allow things to go this far.

The players want to keep virtually the same deal in place. The owners want to change the deal to be ahead of what they see as a curve in the road coming. Neither is being completely unreasonable, but because of that neither wants to budge. When people feel justified about a situation, they can mess it up pretty dramatically. Hence the current state of affairs.
