All of his early movies (Beverly Hills Cop, 48 Hours Coming to America etc, his stand up specials (On long road trips I'll listen to Raw and nearly drive off the road from laughing) and even some of his later stuff like the first Nutty Professor and Life are hilarious.

I remember reading that he was originally supposed to be the black guy from ghost busters with a bigger part, but they couldn't agree on money or something. I feel like that either would have made the movie 10 times funnier or 10 times worse.
