Don't POP an artery Dave. He's in the NFL. His reign in college is over. Now its time to prove he can win at the next level. Until he does, until I see him take a snap under center correctly, make reads like a NFL QB, go through his progressions first then bolt and become a franchise player. Until he dominates I won't believe he's our guy. Just because I don't believe now, doesn't mean I don't want him to become our franchise QB and a nightmare to the rest of the league. He has to prove it at the next level. Bottom line.

Allow me to laugh at your bad attempt to label me as a 'bandwagon' fan. The idea of it is silly. Don't question my loyalty for this franchise that I love dearly. I was with the panthers since the beginning. Through high and lows, 1-15 and recently 2-14. Just because I'm skeptic on a guy that is a huge question mark and has a lot of work ahead of him, does not suggest I'm a bandwagon fan good sir. He has a whole lot to prove. Until he does I'm not a fan of cam. I am a panther fan. I'll support the guy because he's on my team, I will hope he truly becomes special. Right now I'm skeptic. I still don't understand why people questioned his work ethic in the first place. There was never any evidence that he wouldn't work hard, aside from the opinions of people who didn't even know the kid.

it's understandable, though. no question he cheated on a few tests while at florida as a freshman.

i understand from experience that poor test taking abilities doesn't equal laziness or stupidity. also, being a good student in gen. ed. classes have nothing to do with how well you do in areas that you actually care about. people look at him cheating and automatically assume that means he's either stupid or lazy and for a lot of people, probably most it just isn't true.

anyway, they put a lot of stock into mistakes/shortcomings he had as a freshman and figure thats just who he is, ignoring the notion that people can and do actually change and grow up after making mistakes brought on by immaturity.

The fug did I just say? I'm skeptical of Cam Newton, until he proves himself in the NFL level. I don't like the pick, don't like the fact he's a project. Actually I am taking into consideration that he's doing the right thing by studying his play book and training with Weinke. That's actually awesome of him, good job on his part to take initiative. Now keep climbing those steps, It's a long way to where he needs to be. When the fug did I say that his current actions mean squat?! Quit putting words in my mouth froggy.
