I would say something along the lines of "dont hate the player, hate the game" since really the only reason they have jobs is because idiots actually watch it and frequent their site. This in turn means that they not only believe that they are good at what they do, but also that they are doing "good" for the people by keeping them up to date with this bullchit.

How do they start off conversations with people I wonder?

The solution should be to not give them any hits on their site. No matter how curious you are. Just know that its useless bullchit and move on.
