Panthers punter is not amused by jersey number talk

But flipside of this is... for all who were excited about the attention Cam would draw for the Panthers, this is some of the bullpoo that goes with it. Media manufactured controversies.

This is primarily what it means to be in the spotlight of the media, btw... :(

I'm not amused by this this whole overblown Jersey Drama...

This poo was old at the kickball tournament, and it's hella old now!

Leave it alone, I'm sure we'll find out what jersey # is his as quickly as possible, he'll lead the NFL in Jersey sales this year unless Chad Johnson goes somewhere else, and changes his name again.

When he knows, we'll know... Until then get a life and stop with this nonsense!!!

Three things:

1. Jason Baker has been as Professional as they come and the most reliable special teamer over the past few years (yes even more so than Kasay)

2. Jimmy Clausen has the 2.

3. Cam Newton will not be wearing the #2. Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly does not understand a rookie's position in the NFL. Ask DeShaun Foster and Chris Gamble if they got the numbers they wanted when they came out of college.

cam already said he wasn't asking for the number, but there is a underlining psychological factor to what people feel is their "good luck charm" or increases their confidence. its self-fulfilling, however no one has a "lucky" shirt, coin, a routine they do before something important, etc...? heck maybe thats why Clausen didn't show anything last year (probably not, but you never know, lol). Doesn't take away from talent or what someone is capable of...but a psychological edge (or lack of) can affect people in different ways....
