Jets to come back in for a landing?

Won't they just be forced out? Winnipeg would already be the NHL's smallest market by a long shot and though I'm sure Manitoba is hockey crazy, do they have any other cities that could support an AHL team in conjunction with the new Winnipeg franchise?

The current Moose are supposed to be heading to Newfoundland

way to go Winnipeg, needed to sell 13000 tickets and when it opened to the public it took less than two minutes to close the gap. also sold 8000 waiting list spots for 50bucks a pop

I can understand why they might want to change and have a fresh start and all....but I think they can do that and still maintain the name too. New colors, no logo and then have a couple of games each season with the retro thing going on. Really happy for Winnipeg. I was born in Brandon just a couple hours away and I can remember seeing the Jets play when they were in the AHL I believe it was...watched Bobby Hull...and it's honestly one of the only childhood memories I have of doing anything with my dad.

yea they'll definately have to change the colors. they were not pretty that's for sure.

That was the World Hockey Association (WHA) prior to its collapse in 1979 and subsequent merger.

And why new colors? I like the old-school, clean look of the Jets jerseys, and besides, practically all Manitobans are sporting the Red and Blue already.

Love the logo, that's hot. I would actually buy a sweater with that on it. Can't say the same about the old Atlanta Sweaters.
