Summary of NFL proposal to NFLPA

http://nfllabor.com/2011/03/11/exclusive-summary-of-nfl-proposal-to-nflpa/

Man those owners are just treating those employees soooo bad...lol

The players rejection of the deal shows they only want to litigate and crush the league and get a full free market system, they don't want a CBA.

Well sorry poo heads the appeals court isn't going to rule for you because the owners are right legally. You better get back to the table and accept the new deal before the Courts rule against you and the owners pull damn near everything and force you to take poo.

Highlandfire, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. You're doing a victory dance (and frankly, it continues to baffle me that so many average fans consider owners squashing players a victory for themselves, but whatever) over an interim decision to stay an injunction. An injunction is an extreme remedy only granted under egregious circumstances, and the appelate court reversing it pending appeal is not that big a surprise, or even that big a deal in the larger picture.

A much bigger surprise and a legitimate blow to the players' position would be if the 8th circuit does reverse Judge Nelsons decision, but even then, it's going to the Supremes, where the players would stand a 50/50 chance.

Anyway, I think the NFL/players are going to come to an agreement, the legal wrangling is just part of the process, and for the players, it's really the only card they had to play in light of the hardline position ownership presented from the beginning.

Nice one.

You probably never took statistics in college or high school, not that you attended either, so I can understand why a poll such as this would be a little over your head.

You must be an old decrepit out of touch privileged white male who thinks you deserve more than others. YOUR A RACIST PIG

Wrong on all accounts. IF YOU TOOK statistics 101 you will also remember you can take a poll and make it come out anyway you want. Simply choose your survey base and get exactly what you want. Dumb A$$.

Get a poll of football fans and then you will see a much different outcome. As a matter of a fact there was a poll I believe on ESPN (may have been another SPORTS sites) that showed a 48%-52% in favor of the players. This poll was a far better survey than the bogus one you posted. You give the +/- 3% and you basically have a tie or too close to tell.

Go talk your garbage to others that will cower to IGNORANCE...

I won't, you Fuging RACIST PIG

A good read:

At this point, I just have a hard time seeing how the players would think this guy has done a good job. And I don't mean from a legal standpoint, because that seems to have more to do with the political stance of whatever judge you happen to be in front of more than the law...

It's like how rich radio and talk show host get poor and middle class people to champion their tax breaks that in the grand scheme only widen the disparity between the poor and rich. It's like a mass brainwashing.

I really shouldn't grace this post with a response. It's stupid enough on it's own.

Also, if you're going to add text to my posts, at least make it sound intelligent; I know that must be hard for you. ;)

I assume you think I'm a ''fuging racist pig'' as I termed you an old decrepit out of touch privileged white male who thinks you deserve more than others. (or a NFL owner at it's worst) Notice that I did this in response to you terming me a ''bench warmer trying to get more money than you deserve.'' (or a NFL player at it's worst)

You call me a bench warming player, I call you an out of touch rich privileged bastard. Get it?

Now, being a white male myself, I find it hard to believe and hilarious I'm a ''fuging racist pig'' for calling the owners out of touch privileged white males. Regardless, most all the owners ARE white males, so how exactly does this make sense?

Then there's your little statistics quip. Look buddy, this poll was posted on NFL.com. What exactly are you criticizing? The sample size? It's legitimacy? On what grounds? You say ''remember you can take a poll and make it come out anyway you want.'' It's coming from a college research center, what the fk do they have to gain from skewing a poll. You're calling it bogus because it isn't in line with your own personal beliefs.

I'd say a lot of football fans don't care about who's to blame. Most of my friends who are casual Panthers fans couldn't care less about the labor stoppage. They just want NFL football come fall.

Just calm the fk down. Seriously, before you go jumping to conclusions about someone and putting poo in giant bold red letters, stop and think, again I know it's tough for you. We're all fans of the game here with a similar cause.

Obviously this is a politically charged issue, and people will fundamentally disagree with one another, and that's something you're not going to solve with an internet message board. Everyone needs to realize that, you and Highlandfire likely most of all. But you're just going to piss yourself of typing out in giant bold red letters accusing people of racism. Alright?

Here is my solution to the owners. If the current NFL players don't want to settle this like men at the table. Buy out all contracts from every current NFL player. Reopen the league and then employee all the college football players who are out there in the FA market right now. I'm sure there is about 1800+ undrafted players out there from the past few drafts that would be willing to play pro football for peanuts right now if the GMs was to call them up. *** these high price whiny greedy little bitch players.:incazzato:

That's the UFL. You are free to watch it whenever the season rolls around.

Great idea! I can't believe The Owners haven't thought of this before.

In fact, who says you have to use football players at all, you know, to play football? I'm sure there are literally millions of people who would don NFL uniforms simply for the attention - forget about compensation altogether.
