They have a better chance of an injury settlement if it is organized by the team.

Anybody that is not under contract going to one of these is a huge risk.

They might show though but its doubtful.

Technically they could all be without contract during the lockout.

Not sure tho.

it seems that for anyone who isn't under contract, but wanting one...something like this could be nothing but good for them. this is the type of thing that would impress me if i were considering hiring any of them.

Tru. Ive just heard a couple of players like lance moore and a couple others that are not going to the organized team workouts.

Just what I heard.

Also, don't be shocked if Newton and some others don't make it out there.

Other than meeting teammates Newty could learn more working with Weinke...omg I can't believe I am rooting for Weinke to help us...

I'd root for Belicheat if he could truly help Cam be a stud QB in the NFL without compromising security.

How is Charles Johnson putting himself at a bigger risk working out in Charlotte with NFL players (they happen to all be Panthers) vs working out in Miami with NFL players (from a variety of teams)?

Im going to have to agree. The fact is all the rookies including Newton and our FAs will not be there. Way too much risk doing that.

Good news, the sooner and longer they are building chemistry together the better. I tend to think it would show a lot about :cam:'s character if he made the effort to be present.

At the time, if he and his coaches feel it is more beneficial for his development to stay training in Florida, then I support this as well. He will do whatever is in his best interest and should have our support as fans.
