Matt Moore on his fate with the Panthers

Moore may never be great but I cannot discount 2007 and 2009 as flukes when Jeff Davidson was our offensive coordinator.

2010 I don't think any QB would have made a difference. Manning, Brees and Brady. Manning because he is one of the few QBs since Unitas to call his own plays. Brady and Brees because they can flatout play. Moore I think would do extremely well in Chudz offense (if it is based off the SD offense)

Moore will be on an NFL roster, in fact I would not be surprised to see him go back to Dallas.

See, this kind of thought process blows my mind.

B/c Clausen sucked (a QB who never beat anyone in his entire football career but scrub teams dating back to HS) and b/c Matt Moore had 3 bad quarters.....NO QB could have had success? Seriously?

John Fox's teams are built and called so medicore QB play can have success. Clausen was just downright as pathetic as I have ever seen at this level.....and he played exactly like he did at ND.

I want this guy still on our roster. I feel more comfortable with him as our backup than I do with Clausen.

Big MM fan here. I think if called upon, he can come in and win games for us because he has proven that. I hope he stays but if he goes somewhere else, I will wish him great success.

If free agency ever happens, maybe some team will want to roll the dice on Clausen. I know that is not very likely. If that did happen, we could bring in your veteran to join Moore and Cam. MM, Cam and a veteran would not be a bad thing.

The Panther's don't seem to need Matt Moor anymore. You don't take a QB #1 overall to have a bunch of QBs that were the team's past. I don't feel any of our Qbs qualify as a teacher in the short time they played, under Fox at that. If you want a mentor go get some old ass dude like Bulger.

He always talks about how he loves Charlotte and has roots there so I wouldn't be completely shocked if he didn't get any great offers if he made his career as a backup and wanted to stay in Charlotte.

He would beat out almost any vet and any rookie for the starting job in a fair competition, unfortunately, that will never be the case because just like last year, they will want their shiny new toy on the field.

Um... have you seen him in TC? He is not a very good practice player. Plays much better on game days but last 3 yrs TC that I have seen he was atrocious. Ok maybe not atrocious but not impressive at all. Matter of fact Jake looked better than him in TC. However it was the opposite he played horrible in games, especially after the playoff meltdown. Last year Moore was better than both Pike and Clausen in TC. However no one was impressive at all tbh. It was like he was the least sucky of the group. Saying he would beat out almost any vet is a stretch imo if the playbook is new to everyone.

I haven't seen him in camp but I was basing it off his abilities and the abilities of those vets that are considered realistic targets.

I'm assuming the staff had a big impact on the way camp turned out. This is the only year Moore has gotten #1 reps and Smith was not there, Moose was not there, leaving Dwayne Jarrett as the most experienced receiver on our team. Kind of shitty right?

At both of his colleges, he won camp battles when he was the underdog, which shows me that he can do it and isn't just a game day player. It tells me that there are other factors that contributed.

I expect him to look much better in any camp he goes to this year, unless it's Denvers lol
