Cam had declined the event until today. He was being blasted on another site for thinking he was too good to attend especially since there are fan activities scheduled. Now he's being slammed because he is attending. The guy gets heat regardless of what he does.

this is pretty funny.

before the draft everyone was talking about him being some kind of media ***** and then he opts not to talk to the press the day before the draft and critics are saying that this shows he's not serious about the job.

people talk about him not wanting to work and taking a vacation in mexico after mishearing something he says on the radio while he is actually working out with weinke at IMG so that he can just focus on football. he tries to get out of some media event and gets criticized for wanting to focus on the job and then decides to go ahead and go and gets criticized for it. some people will never be happy. there's always some negative spin that can be put on the guy. haters are going to find it.

considering the crap he got for not taking part in a voluntary (for him) media day right before the draft, i wouldn't be surprised if people were actually saying stuff like that.

I'm mildly surprised that Cam doesn't have the # thing resolved yet. Can they not negotiate for Jersey #'s while on lockout?

yeah, it's really not that big of a deal and i doubt either one is all that worried about it. much bigger things to be concerned with. newton's got to learn the playbook and clausen needs to find his wallet.

i doubt there are many picks that have their jersey numbers yet. they've been locked out of the facilities. newton was one a of a very few that actually got to go to their team facilities.
