If DWill walks, I can see Stewart easily breaking 1400 yards.

replacing williams will only happen if they decide they want to keep a double trouble, ie, two blue chip RBs. i don't consider goodson or sutton to be that.

the running game won't be improved if we lose williams and bump stewart up the depth chart. it may be all that is needed, but the duo of williams/stewart is hard to replicate.

What are your thoughts about picking up Reggie Bush IF, he is available with a reasonable contract. He would solve our needs at PR/KR, would be a good filler for JStew, and would work well with a new offense built around Cam. I think he would be a good pickup, but I know RB isn't on our list of needs. I do think we will bring in somebody though if Dwill walked. Bush knows he will not get a huge contract and already said he would take a pay cut. Thoughts?

yup, even behind a banged up Oline and the defenses knew all we could do was run the ball, they still had a decent year. not great for sure, but not bad considering.

we don't know that, in 2009 and 2010 the run game was actually more productive when Williams was injured. Granted, that is a small number of games compared to a large number.......but Stewart is the type of RB that needs a larger workload to really be effective imo.

2 heads are better than one. this team is going to be running a ton the first couple years as newton gets acclimated to the pro game. that happens with any team using a young/rookie QB (well, the teams that have a clue anyway).

add a couple more games to the season and that makes for a lot of wear and tear on these guys. i don't care what stats you pull up. you aren't going to make the RB corps stronger by taking away williams, esp. if you are not bringing someone else of like caliber.
