My boss' son wrote a few of his songs and has been singing "Apple of my Eye" with him all week as he makes his rounds on Letterman, Kimmell, and Fallon, etc...it's really cool that Big Boi asked him to do it with him and I think it is the big break he has been waiting for. He has now been contacted by Jay Z and Beyonce to start writing for them also.

That is awesome JR! Big Boi is one of my favorite rappers, along with Andre 3000 of all-time... They really changed the way rap was heard/perceived. Really awesome that your boss' son gets his start with him and has already started gaining momentum in his career. I was just listening to Apple of my Eye the other night in the car and it is incredible. I'd say to tell your boss that his son did great, but I'm sure he already knows :lol:.

I was just talking to her yesterday and she said he hasn't even brought himself to watch his performance on Letterman. He said he wasn't nervous but doesn't remember doing it either just because it was so sureal. As the story goes, they accidently left his name off the cover of the CD giving him credit for the song and Big Boi let him perform with him on Letterman to make up for it. It went over so well that they are supposed to do it again on Jay Leno tonight I believe. She was saying Big Boi and Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child) have been so good to him and really have taken him under their wing so to speak. I am sure that is how he recently connected to Beyonce and Jay Z also.

The performance he did on Letterman keeps getting taken down for copyright reasons but if you Google "Big Boi on Letterman" you will find it. It's really funny because he looks like he is having the time of his life out there and I am sure he was. Good to see a local kid following his dream and succeeding.
