...but as much as some people seem to hate Madden, I'm all for this thread. :)

It's a start, my biggest gripes were in the offseason, and they seem to be addressing it.

The best changes I've read are the ability to create plays/your own playbook and the ability to trade future draft picks.

If they reimplemented the ability to train specific attributes I'll buy it with a smile on my face. or at the very least made it so a players potential can increase depending on his performance.

If they make the game play more like 03-07 on PS2 I'd be for it but its too damn realistic for me. Tackling and throwing have gotten worse over the years imo.

And the other thing that always bothered me were those simulation stats where literally every starting running back in the league would have 1200+ yards on the year and there would be maybe 4-6 QBs with over 3,000 yards.

Madden, Tony Hawk, & Mario Kart/Party were the only games I played when I fooled with video games and Madden lost me a while ago. If it ends up being good, I may finally get an xbox or PS3...but for now..still no vid games :)

yeah, that and what DP said.. offseason needs more going on.

also, they need to do something during the season from week to week in the form of scouting a team.. even if it's just a few key tips on their NFLN video (forget what they call it)

I completely agree...

I have never gotten into the Madden games on the newer systems, because they just aren't as fun to me. I used to play hundreds of games of Madden online every year, but have not bought a single game for the PS3. I still play Madden '07 on the PS2 a couple months out of the year, because that game is still fun to me.

as much as I have issues with Madden.. it's the only game I've ever played consistently over the years.

I usually only carry a few games, and at the moment, the only one I have is Madden. even when I modded my xbox and burned games, I would finish a game and never pick it up again.

it's the chess match that keeps me playing..
