I say play the whole season all 16 games plus playoffs all training camp , everything .. and take away that vacation .. you get too many snow days in school you lose your weekend .. poo happens , don't wanna lose money , fine .. vacation time gone. Could work like this .. Next year start training camp in september to give them some sort of a break , then the next year regulate it how it was before ?

Thats what I think too. Play all 16 games no matter the date it starts.

But it would run into march madness, CBS, TBS, TNT, TruTV, cartoon network and the food channel can't have that!

Simple fix .. schedule games any day except for sunday .. college basketball and NBA that is .. strike some kind of deal with them for broadcast rights or something of that nature.

yes... they face the same thing as any other team. if they can put together a better 8 game season than anyone else, then why not? what if the packers win again? I pick them to win if it's a 16 game season so if they do it in 8, it's no different.

It's not like the Panthers are going to suddenly go 8-0 and win the superbowl.

I don't care how short the season is, the team that is hot during the playoffs is going to win the superbowl no matter how the regular season played out anyway. The regular season doesn't matter when it comes to superbowl champions. Take a look at Super Bowl XLII with the Pats and Giants if you don't believe me. Also, the Packers were the last team in the NFC to make the playoffs this year
