Why in the hell do analyst think we have no talent?

1. We have an outstanding group of LB's. True, but that's just three, maybe four guys.

2. We have a monster DE named "Charles Johnson" who was 5th in the NFL with sacks and a group of promising DE's like Brown, Brayton, and Norwood. A guy who was 5th and sacks, and the rest of those nothings equate to no talent. Hopefully Hardy can change things.

3. We are OK in DB's we have Godfrey, Martin, and Munnerlyn. Being "OK" gives analysts all the proof they need.

On Offense

1. Promising WR's who have shown talent all this season, but how could they "Breakout" when they haven't been getting the damn ball dumba**es? Promising is just that, until they produce, so again the analysts have a point... right now.

2. Tight ends: we've recently signed Shockey who should be a star on offense if he stays healthy. Shockey is older than dirt.

3. RB's: We have arguably the best depth in that position in the NFL, with all star's like J-stew, D-will, and upcoming star KR/HB Goodson. Here we have great talent.

So take notes.

So we have talent at LB and RB, with Smitty and CJ also having talent. You can argue we have a good O-Line, but so do a lot of other teams. When you get down to the nitty gritty, we don't have a lot of talent. Just accept it. If you want an analyst to notice you, be in a larger market or have talent across the board.

If Cam turns out to be the real deal (no pun), the WRs all step it up, the O-Line blocks like they can, Hardy and CJ blow it up, the LBs cause havoc, the RBs break new records, and our DBs actually get more than 1-2 INTs each...THEN someone might say we have some talent.

Yep. The ESPN guys do put effort in though, it's just that all their effort goes into researching the big market teams, but we're just an afterthought to them.

We're not that far away, talent wise. We're just really young at some positions.

i think it also might have to do something with covering 32 teams instead of just 1. Think about babysitting v.s. a daycare.

ESPN football experts don't put half the effort into their job that we as fans do.

I bet any coach in the NFL would look at our roster and say we've got talent.

ESPN guys put plenty of effort into their job...if their job is to cover the Cowboys, Patriots, Steelers or some other large market team.

Panthers? Not so much :(

Edit: Monstercat beat me to it

Sounds like the same analyst/scout that said Smitty would only be a KR/PR. I did'nt see a team with no talent, I saw a team in transition. But lets face it, Jimmy was'nt ready, then he was thrown in the fire. Lets hope all of our QBs are ready, just in case we have some form of a season. No talent...sure. lol

This is getting ridiculous, It's not like we've been in the sh*tter for years like the Bills, and Lions.

im with you 100% brother... and the crazy thing is its not only the "experts" that say this its also some so called panther fans who think we dont have a winning team either... yeah we had a bad season due to No QB(which is major) Major Injuries (Deangelo, Otah, Thomas Davis, etc.) and we lost Peppers and moose. but with Cam and the draft we had... the addition of Shockey... plus our hurt players getting healthier well be in the mix next season...

QB-Not good. Very high importance.... A rookie and a bust from last season.

RB-Very good. Somewhat important.... The best of the bunch is a FA.

OL-Decent. I only look at last season. Very Important.... When healthy

DL-Awful. Very Important... One of the worst in the league.

LB-Very Good. Somewhat important....a beast, a ?, and a one year wonder.

DB-Good. Very important.... I would say ok at best.

ST-Good. Important... Rock solid.

Coaching- Incomplete. Very Important.... We really don't know.

My take..

    • It must be an early Christmas for JT O'Sullivan having Thielen back so he could put a coal in Thielen's stocking every chance he gets.  Honestly, the biggest surprise is not so much the anticipation. There were those moments here and there last year as well. It's that even that one positive quality he had seemingly vanished his first two games to where it looked like it was all but over, only for it to start coming back some until you get exclamation points all over this game film. And some of those throws were under a lot of duress, something I feel is something new. Finally, those deeper shots are starting to land. Not all of them, but enough that defenses may have to start respecting them. No guarantees whether this will end up as more of anomaly but I certainly hope it isn't. The Green Bay game was a sampler of what BY could be. Against KC, we got a meal. If we could start getting these meals regularly, we might actually have something to work with here.

    • Heels let another team go up 20 on them but this time they complete the comeback. HD never seems to have his team ready but he makes great halftime adjustments. Powell played the majority of the second half and his defense was the difference along with his big three pointer to give the Heels the lead for good. Trimble and Davis were also spectacular. Carolina can’t let Auburn get out to a 20 point lead though, they won’t be able to come back from that.
