When is the last time a superstar....

I am not really confused, just wondering if there has ever been a superstar doing what Pep is doing.

P.S. I am totally in the group that thinks that Pep just wants to be turned loose, much like LT, and solely go after the QB. He could make that HOF if in the right system, and I think thats what he is looking for.

Peppers has always had a ton of opportunities to go after the QB in every game he's played. He's also been able to showcase his speed, his coverage skills, his strength, his moves, and his heart.

I'm trying to think of a defense in the NFL where the DEs don't get plenty of opportunities to go after the opposing QB. Frankly, I'm not having any luck. Maybe someone can point one out for me.

Peppers isn't thinking about money.

He wants other things.

Fame being the first I believe.

Fame without the media in his face.

Now explain that one...

Actually that's the exact same thing I think. I just don't get how he's going to go about accomplishing that feat. If he goes somewhere like the Boys or the jets, he will get grilled just because of his contract. Pretty much going to be like that anywhere he goes. (team having to give up draft picks plus drop an insane amount of money on him).

    • I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary.  He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
    • You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team.  Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
    • I don’t want this to be another Daniel jones situation.
