If this question has already been ask and answered please lock or move this thread or direct me to the link. Has any player attempted any type of players only workout. I understand our quarterback situation but has anyone shown anytype of leadership and attempted to get something organized.

I don't believe anyone is doing much more than just maintenance work outs as of now, I don't think the players have access to the trainers so more traditional/general work outs are probably being done like it was off season. No one has a choice really. This is why this thing either needs to get resolved ASAP or locked out for the season. I would consider it a waste of time and fraud to hack job the season and dilute it's worth.

Ehh... Various units have had workouts together but nothing major or long-lasting. Clausen got the receivers together (or they invited him, not sure which) a couple times now. Gross has brought most of the o-line together (they've not brought in Otah for fear of him breaking a leg or something, as far as I can tell).

NO! no one, has actually shown the effort to get EVERYONE together. Which bothers me, everyone is doing their own personal workouts without the entire team.

That's what happens what you're leaderless. No real QB on the roster to pull it off.

I don't care really, as long as they all stay ready as individuals and work in small groups.

Cam is actually doing the best thing for his rapid development. He needs to learn the playbook and he has a few QB scholars to help him. Then he needs to read the defenses, and the one-on-one he is getting on film and in simulations is priceless. Remember, if we were practicing the NFLPA has limits on the amount of time the Panthers can work him. 12 hours per day would be a violation.

In addition, getting the whole team together might be counterproductive because OL and WRs do not do the same drills. OL and DL should be working together, QB, WR, and DBs should be working together. LBs should go with both. RBs need to stay in shape and possibly work on pass protection.

Facilities may hinder their ability to work together (not finding one), then there is the fact that it has been more publicity stunt than productive in other places. Media attention, rah rah, etc.

The Panthers need to watch Philly defensive film and SD offensive tape.
