Motorola Xoom

I was wondering if anyone here had one? I played with it a little at Best Buy. And I thought it was pretty awesome. The price and the weight are the only problems for me. It felt a little heavy. But it was tethered to a cord, so I couldn't get an actual feel for it. And it is pretty expensive considering what you can get an Ipad for. But I was really impressed with it. And for once I didn't think the reviews were tying to pump up something that wasn't worth the money like the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The Xoom is the first real competitor for the iPad. Android 3.0 (Android for tablets) is waaaaay better than iOS on the iPad.

As for the weight, its similar to the iPad (1.5 points). Its seems heavy, but its really not that bad. Its about the same as a hardcover novel.

Yeah, like I said, it was tethered. So I wasn't sure if I was feeling the actual weight or the weight with the cord attached. But I liked the OS a lot. I'm not someone who buys first generation hardware. But I would consider buying it.

Read on engadget the other day that it will be the first divice to get 3.1 from google. The one thing I didn't like about it, was that it seemed like Moto. seemed to just rush it a little when they released it. They didn't have the update for flash when it came out but advertised the hell out of it that it could do it compared to the Ipad, it still can't use the micro sd card slot as a expansion for the flash hd (update suppose to come out soon) and the fact it came out on Verizon 3G when 4GLTE was up and running kinda was the same thing (update for that at the end of the year).

Its a great device and like people have said, its the first real competitor for the iPad. There are going to be ALOT being released this year, HTC is making one and ASUS is making one as well, which are the two I'll be looking at closely.
