Norwood will play DE for Rivera...

not sure why people think 2 years is a big enough sample size to determine how good a player can be..

James Anderson just had a really good year last year.. he's been on the team for 5 years??? and everyone thought he should have been cut long ago...

people need to expand their perspective a little bit and realize no matter how much money players get or how competitive the NFL becomes, that doesn't mean the human race has just evolved within the last 2-3 years to become bionic to keep up with unrealistic fan's expectations.. get a f*cking clue.

Product of scheme not talent. Avg LB on any other team.

Sorry, you don't start a DE who posts zero sacks because he's good at holding the edge... I say give Hardy those snaps and let him learn, who's to say he won't be just as good or better than Brayton at holding the edge AND he'll get a few sacks in the process.

I don't have anything against Brayton, but when a DE posts a zero sack season it's time to move on.

Sorry....but if you start two undersized DE's who struggle against the run, our defense will get gashed.

Norwood is a pass rushing specialist. Rivera shoudl and will use him in those situations.

Much like NT's, most of the idiots on here think that the # of sacks is the ONLY measure of a solid DE.

You must have DE's who can set the edge and play the run. Use them correctly along with pass rushing specialists and you have a nasty defense.

Use either without the other, and you are looking for trouble.

who EVER said they wanted Anderson cut? I feel like the overall feeling was they they wanted him to finally get his shot. He never did anything to deserve to be cut, at a 3rd round salary he was a valuable member of the team.

plenty of people in the past thought Anderson after year 2 would never amount to anything.. that was 3 or 4 years ago, I can't keep tabs on everything everyone says..

well, nevermind, someone spoke up...

Just because he is avg does not mean he will fail. I mean look a Will Witherspoon and Chris Draft. Both got major pay days after the Panthers but amounted to nothing. Why you say? Because they were both avg LBs with a scheme playing to there advantage.

Beason and Davis are great LBS. They make are D better when on the field and when off so goes our Defense. The rest are just interchangeable.

Anderson had a very high motor this year, maybe because he wanted to get paid or maybe because he finally was a starter. I think he's a little above interchangeable.
