Should Doc Rivers be fired?

The question is simple, do you think Doc Rivers should be let go? or should he be allowed to continue with the Celts?

Personally, I think Rondo's injury played a huge part in the Celtics only winning one game. I also think Ray Allen really didn't show up, usually he's good for at least 1 game a series where his deadly 3-ball decides the game. In this series, save a few nasty dunks, he really didn't do much. I did not see the Ray Allen that runs through picks all over the 3-point line to get 2 inches to get off a shot. Was that Doc Rivers fault? Maybe he takes some of the blame, but you certainly can't blame Doc for Rondo's injury.

I think you got to give Doc at least one more year to see what he can do.... maybe a Garnett trade or something, open up some cap space and sign somebody. The Celtics should not be "blown up," maybe retooled a bit.

Coaching wasnt the issue.... the trade didnt affect the team as much as is lead on. The main problem is the fact that the best players on the team (except Rondo) are old.

Perkins made it clear that he wanted more money than he was worth this offseason. they made a move to get younger and I think it was the first of a few more to come this summer.

Just for the sake of thread continuity, No he should not be fired.

Definitely one of the better coaches in the league, whose loses and shortcomings are only to be blamed on injuries.

He's a great coach.

Also, didn't he want to hang em up anyways?

    • I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary.  He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
    • You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team.  Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
    • I don’t want this to be another Daniel jones situation.
