Its the 3 TVs, all HD and All on DVR thats killing me...might as well cancel HBO too.

yeah, you're getting shafted.. you haven't called and threaten to leave them yet? that's the 1st thing you should do..

and if it works, don't sit on your ass.. cut some trees down or something.. lol

if they can't find one by the house, spend the extra dough to have them set it on a tripod somewhere in your yard... perhaps they tried that already though..

oh, and the phone lines could be different with U-Verse.. TW claims they have you on 100% digital, but it's just like the old school days, it's still coming through copper wire.. ahh, the joys of marketing.. amazing what you can get away with telling people.. there is still a chance changing will fix those past phone issues..

Like i said, we mightbe able to get LOS now. A couple of trees are gone, but there is a new house going up. That might block it. The only other place we could get signal was at the front of the house, but im not putting a dish anywhere on the front of my house/yard.

i've got Dtv and the cost is about the same after promotions end. i wish i could get the internet through them. not yet in my zip. the downfall for them though, and you should note this biscuit, is that they don't have HD locals for our area. they do have locals, but they can't get the contracts worked out with the stations to get the hd signal. seems obsurd since TWC can. i'm considering switching back just for that reason, but I may just upgrade my hd antenna because there is over the air signal for free. another reason that Dtv not having it blows my mind.

We have TWC/Roadrunner

2 DVR boxes, internet, and no other special services... I think it comes up to @ $135 a month...

That is a "locked in" rate though, which is pretty much a 2 year contract that gives us a slight discount.

My biggest complaint with them is their crappy customer service.

They also nickel and dime you to death under such labels as "Basic digital tier" and "HD service" but w/e.

If they keep raising rates we'll eventually switch to some sort of dish. UVerse isn't available in my section of the boonies...

Ok..hold onto your shorts...

Digital Cable & RR - 125.94

2 additional TVs - 20.70

DVR Service - 35.85

Sports Pass - 2.25

HBO - 14.95

HD plus Tier - 5.5

Total - 206.19

We pay 195 for cable and internet. that includes 4 HD DVRs as well as HBO and Showtime.

Different cable provider though

the one that sucks is CBS. its signal is weak and stutters, and i end up watching it off the dish. mostly pisses me off just the two times a year that the panthers are on it.

What about Sunday Ticket? Are those games in HD or do they force you to watch the local broadcast in SD?
