Is Javon Walker worth a look?

If we even LOOKED at our 3rd WR more than 10 times a year, I'd think about it. I'm in the group of people that thing Jarrett will pan out if we give him more touches though.

I love Jarrett actually. When we do actually throw him the ball he almost always comes down with it, and usually takes a pretty good lick at that. The guy's got hands, just needs some more experience...and I guess a couple more years to learn the playbook. But I think he'll emerge as our 3rd, and not just every other game.

Yep.

While I realize we will need to draft someone to replace Moose in a few years, I just don't think the time is now. Jarrett really improved in his second year, which would have been more noticeable had he been targeted more.

Also consider that Ryne Robinson and Jason Carter will probably be competing for a receiver position. I just don't think it's a need when your second receiver is capable of a 1,000 yard year and you barely throw to your other receivers.

I'm not even going to bring our tight ends into this. My point is that we already have the pieces in place if ever we decide to spread the ball around.

agreed, Rosario and Barnidge at the TE spot can catch, so can our backfield. Considering that we also have Jarret and Carter both of whom can make great catches. Add all that to Smith and Moose and if Jake decides he wants to spread the ball around he can do so effectively with everyone being able to make catches. (<- Him spreading the ball around was one of the reason's he started off 07 so damn well) Smith had 16 catches for 271 yards and 4 td's through 3 games in 07, but delhomme himself had 620 yards with 8 td's on 55 completions). So 39 of his completions came from someone other then smith and 349 yards came on catches from other receivers.) If he did it then, he can do it again.

Why no King? He has the best hands of any of the tight ends. Maybe not yards after the catch although that has improved as well, but hands are not in question. He was a touchdown machine at Virginia Tech, yet has not been utilized for that with the Panthers after one throw in his rookie year. Rookie year, one pass to him, one completion, one touchdown, why not more?...

I didn't include him mainly for how stubborn fox is. With his two TE setup, one that blocks and one that catches. I know King has great hands, but I see us using Rosario more in the passing game then King next season.
