Agent: Tutoring of Cam Newton could be done by Brett Favre

Im confused, its says his agent said that, but it read like Brentson Buckner said it.
so since they have the same agent dumbass-buck thinks the Favre is gonna be some sort of super tutor?

The title of this thread is horrible.

The way I'm reading it, it sounds like Buck was suggesting it based ln the fact that Cam and Brett share an agent. It never said his agent actually said it.
actually the agent said it was a good idea and said that favre had talked about it before and that the two of them (newton and favre) have met and talked.

Cook liked Buckner's suggestion of getting Newton and Favre, 41, together when possible. But the agent said that first Favre, who filed his NFL retirement papers in January, is focused on more pressing business.

.

.

.

Cook said Favre would welcome the chance to further Newton's growth when their schedules allow.

"Brett has offered to do that before with Cam,'' Cook said. "He would obviously be delighted to work with Cam. They've met and they've talked."

Why are people getting so bent outta shape if he does? The guy is one of the best of all time. I hope its true.
it's hard to think of a better mentor.

the guy has seen it all.

there is no FA QB that could be brought in as a mentor who could offer newton anything close to what favre can.

This author is really searching. This whole article is pretty much based on what Buckner would like to see and the fact that Favre said he would like to "try coaching qb's." Big stretch to say that Cam and Favre are putting this into place based on this article.

    • Cutting edge analysis below https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 You gotta remember, Daniel Jeremiah talks to the scouts and GMs..... Notable highlights: #1 Abdul Carter (Edge) #2 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) #3 Ashton Jeanty (RB) #4 Mason Graham (DT) #5:  Jalon Walker (LB) #6 Tyler Warren (TE) #7  Coltson Loveland (TE) #15 Nick Emannwori (S) #22 Mykel Williams (Edge) #32 Mason Taylor (TE--3 TEs in round 1????) WR rankings (oh my!!  This is going to piss some folks off--I don't think a slot WR--Egbuka--should be in the middle of round 1, personally) #16 Matthew Golden (told ya this a month ago!!--you mocked me, some scoffed) #17  Emeka Egbuka (the sleeper we have not talked about enough!) #18  Tetairoa McMillan (according to the NFL Network Path to the Draft Crew-Ross, Brooks, Charles-the comments may have hurt his stock among GMs--I do think it might be a bit overblown, but hey, he raised the red flag--nobody else.  I am sure he will explain his meaning to satisfy GMs) #33 Luther Burden III (he has dropped quite a bit) Noteable Edges NOT in top 50, which means they could be there in the second:  Jack Sawyer, Princely. and my super sleeper pick who could be there in round 3--Josaiah Stewart, Michigan. MHS PREDICTIONS: It sure looks like #5 Jalon Walker Edge will be the pick---Mykel Williams dropped to #22. Most of the players we draft on days 1 and 2 will have a first name that starts with the letter J.
    • I feel like all the guys i think they're going to take will be gone. Graham and walker plus Carter who has no chance. If that's the case I really hope someone wants to jump the saints and we can trade back. I would want Green if he didn't have the accusations
    • I think with walker you have a pretty stable and decent floor.   With some of the others the floor is lower but yeah the ceiling is the roof.   We just cant risk that as a franchise at this point
