J. Richardson was a great owner until he had that heart attack...

every since then, if you will look at the decision he has been responsible for he has gone from good to bad... he tanked our last season b/c he wants to not have a new season

They don't have two States rooting for the same team with their name in it? It's the perfect scenario here. For ages all we had was NASCAR and wrasslin and minor league stuff. Then came the Hornets. But through it all, college basketball ruled in the Carolinas. Then finally we got those three letters...NFL, and two States ate it up as they should have. We could wear pink uniforms and be called the Flamingos and people would still flock here to watch NFL football. Haha...flock. On the other side of the coin you have places like Buffalo and Jacksonville. Two cities all alone. Unless they're winning they're losing major money.

JR has done well that's in an area that sees so many transplants. In high school I was one of the few kids whose parents were from Charlotte. A good amount of people the Charlotte area in the area seems to be from Ohio, NY, and NJ.

Plus I never thought about the representing states thing and not just a city like the Jags and Bills.

Because he serves their interests, not necessarily the Panthers.

Any owner who deliberately tanks a season so they can save money for themselves will probably not find himself on a Best Of list anytime soon.

i dont exactly think he "tanked" the season... i think he was reforming the team... i mean we went to the superbowl in 04 thats goin on 8 years ago(doesnt seem that long) it was time to move on and turn the roster over and get new fresh young talent for the next run... i like the moves he made and i think he is definitly a top 10 owner in this league... i mean if you dont blow up your team every so often you will end up like the lions, browns and bengals... look at New Orleans they blew they team up then won a superbowl a couple years later...
