Worst or Best Chain restaurants

Bailey's (or Fox and Hound in some areas) is actually flying up the charts for me. It used to be wthe worst pub grub around, but they're rvamped the menu recently. The pizza doesn't look like it was torn out of shrink-wrap, and they have a new Buffalo Chicken sandwich that is out of this world.

As for McDonald's, I wouldn't write them off just yet. I heard they are investing several billion dollars to rennovate all of their 14,000 restaurants. They are going for a Starbucks feel with earth tones, leather seats and actual tables. McDonald's brass wants it to be a place where people go to hang out, rather than pick up their food and leave. That kind of a huge culture change may totally shake how people think of McDonald's. But then again, if it's still staffed with special ed drop-outs being managed by a ESOL woman with a fupa larger than some italian cars, it might not.

Fox and Hound was good when I frequented the Birkdale location, and when I first came to Wilmington it was pretty good at its location in Mayfaire. Then it fell off, and I haven't gone much since. Maybe I should give it another try sometime. They did always have some really hot servers.

i think Hardee's thick burger is probably the best fast food burger, and their Caramel Crumb biscuit blows away the bo berry.

hilarious that you call OG and CB the best. different strokes for different folks obviously.

Haha. In my personal opinion, its almost a crime against mankind to not love Olive Garden. Their breadsticks and salad are AWESOME.

^^^ this was why my friend made me go when I told him I had only been once and it was about 10 years ago.

We went just so we could get the giant salad bowl that he loves lolz.

1. italian places in general have good salads. OG just serves theirs buffet style

2. the bread is nothing special. the ciabatta at Mac grill is better IMO

3. i'll give them credit for zoupa tuscana, but i know its just a microwave meal like everything else.

Arby's is my favorite.

We don't go there any more, too expensive. Once you enter the parking lot it's like you're in a different dimension or something and somehow math changes. We call it Arby's math.

Outback is another inconsistent one i think. I ate at ones in Memphis and San Jose areas while traveling for work, and was not disappointed. The local one however...I've not eaten at since the last time which I think was last summer. Texas Roadhouse and Long Horn are the chain steak houses to go to here in the port city unless you have the money for Ruth's Chris or Chop house.
