Beason's civil trial starts today

I don't know either of these guys but I will say that Beason's friend is the one that got thrown out of court for making a threat to Frye during trial.

I also find it funny that people here are quick to dismiss this Frye cat as a scum bag because he has a criminal record but the same people defended Cam for his record. Reality is people find reasons to support players they like.

I've seen him in a fight in college, heard he is a scumbag by multiple sources, and seen his criminal record.

The turd was looking to flaunt his 'Panther Card' to strippers, as always. Real Panthers show up to the club, so he has to come up with a cool story so strippers continue to pay him attention because he is a loser. That story is he saw Beason doing coke. Gets confronted and the racial slurs from his drunk ass start. No witnesses on what happened next. Just what I seem to get from all of the stories.

If you defend this idiot, as a Panther fan, with no evidence other than Beason being there...you should be ashamed.

I am not defending anyone. I am simply saying that Beason should know better than to be hanging out at strip clubs with friends that have the courage to threaten plaintiffs in court.

The reality is the whole thing is a mess and Beason should fire his lawyer for allowing this to go to trial or his lawyer should have fired Beason for being arrogant enough to think he would win. Even if Beason doesn't get hit with any damages, he will lose a lot more in lost sponsors and fan support. Plenty of fathers will not buy Beason jerseys as a result of this.

I think most would agree that Cam Newton has not demonstrated that his criminal record is reflective of his character. It seems like Frye is just born to lose.

Only time will tell. Sounds like a number of folks have personal knowledge of this Frye cat and he is quite the loser. Still, Beason has to be smart and be above this.

If Frye did make racial slurs, then most likely this would be adequate provocation. As I said before, even if Beason wins he loses.

yeah, no.

you are blowing this wayyyyy out of proportion.

So Beason should have fired his lawyer or his lawyer should have fired him? YEAH that makes a lot of sense.

Doubt he is going to lose sponsors......haven't ever seen him promote anything.

Remember this is a civil suit?

your response is laughable.

Both men are at fault. Period. Frye for being the scum of the earth and trying to make money off Beason, and Beason for rushing Frye, cursing at him, bumping chests with him, and throwing a punch. Beason admitted to all of that in court. Not smart. Frye is garbage, but when you're in the spotlight, you do the right thing and don't put yourself in a position like that.

where is Greg Frye more likely to get drunk during the weekend and look for a fight?

Uptown Cabaret or Harris Teeter?

It could happen anywhere with this guy, his last DUI which happened after the incident at Uptown where he drove off the road into an apartment sign happened in the middle of the day. I've heard the guy gets the shakes when he doesn't have booze.

that's just dodging the question. When it comes right down to it, strip clubs are much more likely to have trouble than restaurants, stores, or any of the other ridiculous comparative locations people have put forth. There is no evidence Frye was stalking Beason, so saying it could of happened anywhere is just homerism.

It's not Beason's fault he's a professional athlete or that Greg Frye is a jerk. But it is his fault for trying to assault Frye and going to a strip club. I don't consider a strip club a place he needs to go to, and if he meets a jerk he needs to keep his cool. He's only going to get so much sympathy. If he was at just a social club that would be different.

One could say he was stalking Beason. First he tells Rosario that he was doing Cocaine, Then it comes out he had a plot to get paid by being hit by a famous Sports star. Now someone could call all that just a coincidence and that same person owns about 100 arcs of swamp land in FLA.

Fair enough. I agree NFL players should be setting a good example.

That said in this case setting a good example is giving Frye what he deserves and has been coming his way since his days at North Meck...karma is a big bitch.

Guess we want be saying that if he comes out with a couple 100,000. Who knows what the jury sees in this case. Very unpredictable they are.

that word keeps coming up. Could this, could that.

It's unlikely Frye was stalking him and it's extremely unlikely this would have happened at a less sketchy location.
