The argument that UFC does more PPV buys then boxing hence its more popular shows how ignorant you are my friend.

The only way to see UFC is on PPV, they spend months hyping there upcoming show on there reality show etc, there is very little if any live action on TV

While boxing has weekly and bi weekly fights on Showtime/HBO & ESPN, you take all that live action that boxing has across multiple tv networks and condense that into 1 or 2 PPV's at the end of the month or so like UFC and there is your number difference.

If boxing were truly dying you wouldn't see it on HBO/Showtime or ESPN, Tv networks would be pulling it accross the board, ticket prices would be dropping, arenas would be empty, none of that is happening, So you keep sucking that big fat UFC cock buddy.

Boxing is dying uhh huh Oh Noes....

It's funny how you single out one MMA promotion and pit it versus the whole sport of boxing while ignoring every other MMA promotion that is on live, free TV including the UFC and draw your conclusion.

Lets be honest only the UFC and its fanbase rivals that of boxing, especially in this country.

I don't see any other MMA promoter on your yahoo PPV list there.

+ its the UFC and Dana White that are constantly attacking boxing and spewing its boxing is dead Horsesh*t

I can't think of the last time I saw a boxing event on ESPN. To me it's pretty aparent that under-30 males are more inclined to watch MMA than boxing, which, unless boxing rolls out marketable heavyweights like they did 20 years ago, they're going to keep losing market share until it's nothing more than a niche sport.

The fact that Moseley-Pacquiao is the most anticipated fight they can put together shows how down the sport is.

ESPN Friday Night Fights are more showcase bouts for prospects, there are still huge fights and tournaments across HBO/Showtime that draw huge interest and #'s

The loss of an identifiable American heavyweight is the reason why boxing slipped. Fans that were only into boxing because of the heavyweight division have either moved on to something else & others have migrated to following the smaller weight classes, there certainly isn't any continuing loss of market share, boxing took its hit and has stabilized I feel.

Based On What?

The fact that Moseley-Pacquiao is the most anticipated fight they can put together shows how down the sport is

I won't argue that boxing can be broken at times but IMO its more internal boxing politics that are hurting boxing rather then outside competition there are plenty of fans to go around. As a boxing fan I want to see UFC/MMA continue to grow and push boxing, when UFC was really gaining ground and making a name for itself between I'll say 2000-2005 roughly) boxing was putting aside its petty politics you had promoters like GBP and Top Rank working together to put together the best fights possible something you usually don't see in boxing is cross promotion, promoters usually like to keep things in house to maximized profits.

Competition is a good thing for boxing but Boxing is not dying and the UFC is not killing it.

I think boxing and the UFC can coexist," White told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) after the pay-per-view show. "I'm a big fight fan. When there's a good boxing match, I want to see it."

A recent comment made after the Pacquiao/Mosley Fight

Heres is his usual Boxing will go away schpeel and its the choice of the younger demographic horsesh*t that he made last year.

"My honest opinion of boxing is that boxing will go away," White told ESPNRadio's Ryen Russillo. "I don't wish it any ill-will. It's not because the sport isn’t good or anything like that, it's just that it's so fragmented, and so many bad things have happened. Nobody is going to stick their hand in their own pocket and spend their own money to save the sport of boxing, nobody is going to do it."
