Cam on Frank and Moose

Recommended Posts

A lot of us here have been saying for months that Cam was being judged unfairly, or at least prematurely. The way he has presented himself since being drafted has exceeded expectations.

People like to talk about Hurney's big gamble. This was not a gamble. Given Cam's physical skills and his winning personality, the decision was a no-brainer. Hurney just happened to know it before the rest of us.

I knew it before hurney but i didn't go to cam's house to find out the truth lol. Everyone should be hoping he's what we "cam-hopefuls" thought he was, because the alternative surely isn't something you want to think will happen.

Mad Hatter is the last hater left reaching

Nothing "reaching" about wanting ot see your #1 pick...who everyone agrees has a major transition to make to the NFL...ass deep in the playbook.

He said that he was getting into the right mental place to get to work in the playbook.

Does not exactly make me feel all great about "his work ethic".

I know for a fact Brees is leading one for the Saint @ Tulane, and Romo is leading one for the Cowboys. Flacco is leading one for the Ravens too I saw that on ESPN. Eli Manning is leading team workouts for the Giants. And the Cardinals are holding their own workouts. Those are the only ones for a fact that I know are going on, their may be others.

Drew Brees is even footing the bill to pay for the rookies and some out-of-town players to come to his camp. Also paying for training staff and location.

Oh, it is a gamble. and it's one that indeed could blow up in our faces.

Obviously, I hope it doesn't. But make no mistake, it could.

How does that prove he has a poor work ethic?

Drew Brees is a veteran who has already made a boat load of money though. I don't see how anybody can hold Cam to that same standard, since he hasn't even signed a contract yet.

These practices dont always translate to benefiting the players/teams. Without a tight structure, these practices could set them back possibly. The players should continue to do their individual offseason workouts to prepare for the season.

I am not saying that it means he has a bad work ethic. From everything I have read, I believe that he is a very hard worker.

I just know the amount of transition that he will need and that this lockout is a bigger issue to the young Panthers (new QB, new HC, new OC, new system). I would have rather heard him say that he was already spending 6-7 hrs a day in the playbook. Maybe he is...but his comment led me to believe that he was not "cramming" yet.

not sure how that has anything to do with his work ethic unless you're still looking for areas to be concerned about.
