Cam on Frank and Moose

Recommended Posts

I think he is much more comfortable talking to former players than stuffy media with mics shoved in his face.
agreed. probably just more comfortable not having a camera in his face.

i bet he's had to do a couple hundred interviews in a short amount of time and the dude is probably pretty tired of it. seems like he's away from it for a little while which will give him time to study the playbook.

He is talking to them from his vacation in Mexico, while all the other teams are having their team workouts. I am a big Cam fan, but I have to say I am worried!

Definitely something to think about.

Look at all the teams and leaders that are out leading player workouts. But, Cam is off vacationing.

But, I am sure that his mega supporters on here will say that he has "earned it". If he needs a vacation from preparing for the draft, he does NOT understand the work required to to succeed in the NFL.

I would rather see him saying that he is deep in the playbook.....not say that he needs to get in the right mental place to start learning the playbook. He needs all of the work and time that he can put into this.

The work starts NOW.

Okay time to set this record straight.

Just listened to it again. And Cam said that Kalil was "teasing" and "suggested Cam send all of the offensive lineman to Mexico to learn and install the playbook.

So no one is vacationing to Mexico.

Meh. Even if it wasn't a joke I don't see it as a big deal.

He's not a signed player. He has no contract. Give this young man a break ok. For the love of God, this young man is under more scrunity than Delhomme ever was, and he was a veteran.

Yeah and he just got back from pakistan ending a 10 year hunt for Osama.

The man deserves a freaking vacation.

A lot of us here have been saying for months that Cam was being judged unfairly, or at least prematurely. The way he has presented himself since being drafted has exceeded expectations.

People like to talk about Hurney's big gamble. This was not a gamble. Given Cam's physical skills and his winning personality, the decision was a no-brainer. Hurney just happened to know it before the rest of us.

    • He's turned into quite a gunslinger
    • Hey guys, remember when we won those meaningless games in 2010 and it cost us the #1 pick and the chance to draft Cam? Oh.... right I get that's more of an extreme example because it got us a HOF caliber QB.  But it's the general concept, you want to win late season games when you have the pieces in place to make a run the next season, we currently are not in that place. Herbert and Sewell are the ones I point to so much, because we literally lost out on 2 franchise different makers by 1 draft slot.  Give us those two players while we still have CMC, Moore, and the rest of the picks we gave up for Bryce, and we'd have been a legit playoff contender the last few years. Draft position matters in the NFL more than any other sport (other than the #1 pick in the NBA in a year with a generational talent).
    • It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
